Galaxy S8/S8+ red discoloration issue downplayed by Samsung

The color balancing fix only works in the Adaptive display mode which is the least color accurate mode. If you want Basic for sRGB, Photo for Adobe RGB, and Cinema for DCI-P3 compatibility. If you actually care about color accuracy, you'll be using one of these modes and won't be able to set white point.

Guys if you check out that post about the crazy way Sammy checks their batteries , at 0:17 you can see many displays having normal and red discoloration.

Got my T-Mobile version today. This is not an issue for my phone.

I've had my S8 (Tmo) since this morning. It was the first thing I checked, next to my V20. Happy to report there is no red hue on mine. As we know, all of these reports are coming out of South Korea, so it's very possible it's a defect with an early batch that was sold there. Let's hope it's not widespread. Liking the phone so far, except for the useless edge display of course. Still the same issues as always. Glare, image distortion over the edge...and touch issues when trying to press something that's close or on the edge. Same old story. Gonna try to give it a shot though. Thank goodness for Jump on Demand though ;)

I have the pink issue with my s8 plus. i had a replacement sent to me from best buy and it was worse. i sent that one back. I went into best buy today to try and get a replacement and both units left in my color had pink issues. I looked at the display models, about ten of them, most had pint issues. One was nice and white with a tad of green on one side. I am blown away by this issue. It seems so downplayed and it is major imo. Verizon and Best buy employees seem either clueless or haven't heard of the issue. MY God, if i worked at a mobile department i would of noticed the display models right away.. effing joke
