Won't get that check from Apple if they stop taking digs at Samsung.

It was the biggest phone issue of 2016, should everyone pretend it never happened? Just like the Fandroids never say anything about "bendgate", "antennagate" etc?

Nothing wrong with the first time in the article about the note 7 But the second time was not needed and the way it was worded.

1. 'pretend it never happened?' - In case you were living under a rock for the past quarter, PA has milked this fiasco more then any tech sites. So, clearly, they are far from pretending that it never happened. 2. 'Just like the Fandroids' - There's a difference between 'Fandroids' and PA authors. Its understandable if fans do as its what they do but PA shouldn't. If you think for a second why does PA need to mention Note 7 fiasco twice in an article about S8? You'll have the answer starring at your face.

Same here, one of the main reasons I still buy Galaxy devices is the front facing home button, and the day they remove that, I lk gladly move to another OEM that have it on the front.

I'm sorry, but where does it say that the -home- button will be on the back? I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm just not seeing that here. I see that the fingerprint reader will be on the back, but not the home button.

My bad, I explained my point in a poor and an unclear way. I was talking about the fingerprint scanner, and how I find it more practical to be put on the front rather on the rear panel of the phone.

Oh I see, I understand now, thank you for the clarification! You had me panicking, I just wanted to see if I was reading it incorrectly :)

Dont worry. The Samsung Material Recovery Facility is working hard to deliver the best next Note or S8 you. They're just not finish collecting the recalls.

Damn, the S8 is sounding pretty boring. On the back? What happened to the one implemented into the screen?

Both are just rumors.

Still, I'm hoping for some innovation. This year hasn't been amazing for innovation.

Actually, if they put the FPS on the back, they'll still have the iris scanner on the front.

they can't implement it like iphone, as they don't have advance pressure detecting haptic engine like apple do, how ever back should be fine, rather than taking idea from a fruit company they should focus more on VR and they bought VIV for nothing as google voice assistant is making its way on samsung galaxy S7 too, big chunk of money wasted rather then that I think they will implement it on tizen OS

I wouldnt rule that out Linear actuators (what Apple calls their tapic engine) are becoming more wide spread e.g. in the Pixels and Oculus Touch controllers too Although the one in the Pixel isn't really on the level of the one in the iPhones and Oculus Touch But if Samsung are willing to allocate the extra cash, they could use one of iPhones/Oculus Touch caliber

The last thing i care about is haptic feedback. I turn vibrations off on my phone's as it is. We will see how VIV plays out. Sounds like it will be more contextual then Google assistant but who knows. Really don't think Google will hold them back though and if they do, all Samsung has to do is make it a download.

It seems they are want you to use the iris scanner hence the implementation on the back.

Lots of Samsung coverage but some will still say iphoneArena. Ugh. Seems like they're a few who do like back I'd touch. Think I prefer on the front my self.

If they remove the capacitive buttons and put a fingerprint reader on the back I will definitely upgrade.

Naver is not a publication. It is the number one portal site in Korea.

I would say these rumors are BS. Samsung should know better than to remove what their customers demand. It went badly for them when they removed the SD card. Don't fix what isn't broken. Add optical fingerprint or don't mess with it. Give us back the IR blaster. Put a larger battery even if the phone is 1mm thicker. Keep the headphone jack. Always update to the latest OS quickly, and include all the Note software upgrades. It's pretty easy to give us what we want, and they can't afford to mess around.

The more I read about Galaxy S8 rumours the less Iam anticipating it. Hope Samsung surprises us this time around... really wanted to get the S8.

The Galaxy S8 could still use the "optical fingerprint sensor" even if it is on the back.
