Galaxy Note 9 variant with 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage could be coming
The unveiling of Samsung’s next flagship is still at least a couple of months away but according to one tipster, the device could offer even more internal storage than Samsung’s most recent flagships, while also upping the RAM count.

Currently, the highest amount of internal storage Samsung offers for its Galaxy S9 series is 256GB, but the Galaxy Note 9 could be set to double this to 512GB, while also providing expansion via a microSD card slot. Furthermore, all of this could be coupled with a considerable 8GB of RAM. Now, it’s worth noting that despite the accurate track record of the tipster, the tweet in question doesn’t confirm the setup. Instead, it hints at it being considered as a variant, possibly one which would be available as a China exclusive. Nevertheless, the base model of the smartphone is still expected to sport 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM.

Aside from the memory configuration, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 is expected to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 over in the US while remaining markets will receive the Exynos 9810 chip, which may actually be speedier than the Qualcomm variant. In regards to the camera department, a variable aperture main camera will likely be included alongside a secondary telephoto lens, much like the recent Galaxy S9+. However, it’s unclear if any major upgrades will be included.

Rounding off the smartphone will likely be Android 8.1 Oreo and the latest version of Samsung Experience on top. After all, the rumored late-July announcement and mid-August release would mean the final version of Android P would still not be publicly available, likely forcing the South Korean giant to push out the new software in a future update.
