Galaxy Note 8 vs the top big phones on the market: a size comparison

We've got some pretty reliable numbers from CAD blueprints for the Galaxy Note 8 that could help shed some light on how big Samsung's upcoming phablet will be, so let's take a look at how it compares to the top 5.5-inchers (and up) currently on the market, as well as it's ill-fated (now-reborn) predecessor...

Remember when Steve Jobs said no one wants a bigger screen than 3.5? or Who needs a Stylus? Well after his death how did Apple response to the note series?

I have the S8+ now, and got used to the size. The width is good and manageable, but its tall! lol...waiting to see if Note 8 is worth is with the S-Pen, or wait til the Pixel XL 2 drops.

Samsung should offer discounts for previous Note 7 owners who returned their phones in. Haven't heard anything yet. Only the ones who return when ask. Anyone who kept there's beyond 3 months should be excluded.

I believe they gave around $100 in credits when they turned them in. Plus, they gave additional credits if you traded it in for another Samsung. People were also able to keep the Gear Fit 2 or VR they got for free. I'm sure Samsung has exhausted discounts on the Note 7 by now.

That is one big phone, and I don't mean that in a bad way. Does it look like they made the S Pen longer? I know many people complained it was short in the past.

I love the size, wish it were 6.5 though.

Sh1t, make it 7in with no bezel on top and bottom. That would be my dream size phone.

Nearly 1cm taller than my OnePlus One, but slightly slimmer. My big hands won't have any problem handling this.

Mine either bro. The trolls that will never own it, are trying to bash it in any way they can lol. At least when I speak on the iPhone, it's cause I actually have an interest in it.

I have no problem with the size ... I like "big" (screen) and that simply means larger size ... period But I do hope it has FRONT SPEAKERS. That is the single reason I never bought another since the Note 2. I got the Moto Z Droid solely because it had front-speakers, but I have to admit I absolutely HATE (everything about) that phone ... (except for the front speakers).

This looks like a perfect size, actually a few mm narrower than my V20 with a bigger screen.

I will definitely purchase. I will wait until October/November, in hopes of catching a deal at best buy. I purchased my Verizon S8+ at $516 (21.50 per month). When Best undoubtedly introduces their sale on the Note 8, you can count this "big boy" as a part of my collection. Heck I expect near immediate discounts if the Iphone 8 is any good.
