"the update is expected to arrive on March 30" Knowing Samsung, when they set a date, expect another two to three extra months before they release the update. It is a shame that I'll receive my S9 before my Note 8 even received Oreo, which Samsung initially promised that it'll be released by January. And thank goodness for project treble.

It's sad that S8 and Note 8 doesnt support project treble.

I know this was the Note 7, but didn't Samsung promise the Nougat update within 2 months of the phones launch? Here we are over 6 months later still with no Oreo update for the Note 8. Sad.

Agreed. They did promise that, but we all know promises mean very little when it comes to updates. I doubt they would have done it.

See when Samsung releases it. Is it delayed again by the carriers so they can add their s**t bloatware to it?

I hope my note 8 never gets a update. It runs great right now. Those updates only make everything laggy. They probably want us to buy the galaxy s9 so they mess up our phones on purpose with crappy updates

LMAO I bet you don't even have a note 8. There is only one company that does that and it's not Samsung.

Patiently waiting. The Note 8 is so good as is, that it's not a big deal, look forward to getting it though. March 30th, the wife and I will be on a cruise around the Mexican Riviera, so I couldn't install it till I got back to Vegas anyway.

Only the minority will complain that the update is late... the phone still functions fine, once Oreo comes out they will only be excited for 10 minutes because theres no exciting feature about android O.

That's a damn shame. Samsung should really be ashamed of themselves.

Rocking my note 8 and loving it the way it is. I've outgrown the longing for new updates since Samsung Notes pack tones of features already out of the box. Haven't even explored half of it yet and android Oreo didn't bring much to the table with regards to features anyway! When the update comes it comes. Still won't complain either way. If I really wanted fast updates I would have got a pixel but I chose the note 8 so yeah...
