Galaxy Alpha will be slimmer than the iPhone 5s and with metal side rim, new pictures reveal

And the leaks about Samsung's premium Galaxy Alpha keep on leaking today. We just had a retailer posting it up for preorder online at a pretty unpalatable price, confirming most of the specs tipped so far, and now the phone gets sized up with none other than Apple's venerable iPhone 5s darling...

930 itself wasn't born 9 months ago, lame joke.

technically it would have been, after all, the product the customer gets are the result of the 930 being designed and made, aka the parents, and did take place more than 9 months ago. It's ok, lame retort.

The Galaxy S5 was thin enough, and if they place a similarly sized battery in the Alpha then that phone could last for days. It won't be too much of a problem if they have a well designed extended battery option. I could see this as being a good backup phone for me and finally sell the Droid Razr M... Or mod it for other purposes.

Anything besides the Galaxy S and Note are a wasted sku for Samsung. This is why their manufacturing cost are so high. Focus on making 3-4 great phones a year, rather than a whole Android lineup of the same thing.

Still not looking good and premium. The aluminum on side material look cheap compare with others. Samsung can't release premium stylish phone anymore. Some more fail spec. This alpha means fail.

Very slim, if only it had a sd card slot and I would have most likely got this. Wouldn't have mind a 1080p screen too but at 320ppi on a 4.7" screen it's good enough for me.

Seems to me that Samsung is making a bad move with this phone. This alpha phone is totally opposite for what power users want the are going the way of apple more flashy and pretty looks but less power thanks to the lower capacity battery. But this is Samsung and they make tons of phones per year and this could be one that attracts the beautiful people lol and not the techie power users

If Samsung introduces a phone with a small battery, then there will be competition for outlets near the dustbins, bathrooms, and janitor closets. Hopefully someone can take advantage of this and make some really funny commercials.

That's the whole point. To rape the Apple users for money. Getting raped by Apple or Samsung isn't a huge difference to rape victims. This is just Samsung's shot at the I like shiny things market. Specs mechs. Who cares about those.
