Frosted glass back or glossy glass back — what do you prefer?

Frosted glass back or glossy glass back — what do you prefer?
Recent rumors state that the iPhone 11 will continue to have a glass back, but will do away with the fingergrease-collecting gloss and replace it for a matte finish. A "Frosted Glass", the rumor mill says.

We've seen this before. Sony had matte glass on its Xperia Z5 and Google chose to use it on the Pixel 3. The finish makes for a softer touch, a bit of a more slippery experience, but less fingerprint smudging. As interesting as it sounds, it is yet to be widely adopted by manufacturers. It appears that customers kind of like the glossy version better. But do they?

Or, in other words, what finish would you prefer on the rear glass of your phone? Matte or glossy?

Matte is much better. But with people buying case, its makes no sense.

The metal back is much better to use without a case.

it will lose features and functionality with an all metal uni body if that's where you're going.

I prefer Metal/kevlar/plastic backs. No I don't want any flashy back, smartphone is not jewellery.

Suddenly, matte is a thing for PA. Sony, OnePlus, Motorola, Google have used them but since it's Apple's turn, they wanna make a big deal about it

Polycarbonate plastic is the best material for phone backs.

I actually prefer that faux leather on the back of the black Note 3 battery cover. Felt good to grip without a case. But since I only rock cases on my phone the glossy back.

My S8+ is blue, yet you cannot see it because I use a clearview case. So colors and what type of glass you have on the back don't matter if you will use a case. Give me the glossy one. :D Who cares about some smudges??! It's not like they affect performance or something.. Frankly I'd prefer if brands would build the phone with rubber parts on the corners or other types of protection (something like the Active series from Samsung, but not that bulky)

I voted for the hidden option "it doesn't matter to me"!

Best phone back I ever had was the mesh-like back on the Droid Turbo, idk why more manufacturers don't adopt that.
