Found iPhone a late stage model; Jobs monitors list of those who carry pre-release iPhones

0. phoneArena posted on 23 Apr 2010, 00:45

Some of the codes found inside the lost iPhone suggest that the unit is a late stage model that will not differ greatly from the actual release...

You know I gave a good tip that the HTC Droid Incredible has proved to have Video Out (TV out) capabilities which is good stuff, and they continue to keep running this iPhone myth shit about speculation after speculation....talk about a dead horse. Yeah we get it, it could be real but until you get apple to admit it WHO CARES!?!

Agreed but now that the incredible is out its old news.. Im holding out for either the VS740(Ally, Aloha what ever the name becomes) or another Android phone from Verizon. Im hoping it has either 2.2 or one of the later ones do.

HTC are coming out with some great phones, but in my opinion iphone is STILL king. For me having itunes and the apple app store wins me over , even if newer phones have better screen resolution faster processors, better camera's etc. I guess what it comes down to is individual preference, some people dont want itunes etc. I do so thats why the iphone still reigns supreme. I just switched from an HTC Touch HD to a iphone 3gs, and i cannot believe how much better the iphone does everything, right down to the smallest detail.

then you'll be very sad you didnt wait a little while longer for a better phone... apple products are good for being proprietary...and working together with....other apple products... i'll take my faster, better network, better spec phone all day

electro, I agree with you on the preference part, I tell people all the time that whether VZW gets an iphone or not, the only people I'd recommend it to would be those that have already sold their souls to Steve Jobs and are locked into Apple's products/softwares like Itunes. Anyone else gets an Android recommendation from me. Glad you like your Iphone, I look forward to the 1ghz processing 8mp camera 8gb laden Incredible due in a week myself.

Im with you, electro.livin... I LOVE my iPhone!! I never have problems with the battery or the network here in Idaho. I have over 40 apps purchased, so switching to an Android phone would just be a waste!! Everyone has an opinion, but my preference will stay with Apple for everything!! If the new iPhone looks like the one pictured, and doesnt carry too many new features, I'll just upgrade from 3G to 3GS!! My next prayer lies with an iPad with MacBook Pro capabilities and hardware running Adobe CS4 or soon to be released CS5!!! That would be AWESOME!!! No more lame mice or trackpads or pen tablets... But it may be a while until Apple satisfies that need!!! Also awesome would be an Android iPad type device... I guess Im just tired of keyboards and buttons!! :) Netbook Deaths would be swift!!

Electro, I continue to say... A phone and network choice is personal, there is not one perfect phone / network for anybody. I personally would have tried the iPhone years ago if it had hit Verizon, but now I'm not interested. It revolutionized the market and hopefully they'll come up with the next big step in the future.

I think keyboards have a place in the world Zero. Typing on a touch screen won't work for everybody. As for Apple supporting Adobe products, it doesn't seem likely to happen ever. Adobe stopped producing their conversion app and Apple banned programs that used it. The MacBook Pro is non cell related, but is pretty impressive and I have yet to decicide what I think of the iPad.

Pretty impressive price tag... Got an Asus top end gaming laptop for $1200 at BestBuy. A Macbook with ALMOST the same specs (mine has a bigger hard drive and more RAM) is about $1000 more. A crApple logo is not worth that much, IMO, ever...

I agree crapple, I went to BBuy to check out the Apple line up and al there stuff looks the same huge white note books with tiny keyboards that look like high watered pants...I hate the design and everything about them and what Apple stands for. they are like Nintendo, marketing on the Jones's. Nintendo releases a new DS it seems every 6 months so you are never ahead of there product line..same with Apple except they add 1 more retarded feature they failed to implement on previous versions just so they can fish you in so you want it and will pay for it, good marketing, made by the devil. Im Papajay224 and Im a PC.

I just don't know how apple is going to compete with some of the new phones for another year with a 3.4" 2/3 touch screen. Some of the new 3.7-4.3" screen phones actually carry smaller or close to the dimensions of the iphone. And correct me if i'm wrong but the larger resolution won't make a bit of difference with the current apps. They will look worse on the new iphone

Completely right on that one!! Some phones have HDMI or Super AMOLED screens, 12 MegaPixel cameras, front mounted cameras, Multi-tasking, and an intuitive, personalizable O/S. Apple has a LOOOOONG way to go if it wants to compete. I'll stick with Apple regardless, but some of these features are AMAZING!!!

Because most of electronic consumers do not know anything about the specs, hence they only choose products with the flow or the look.

I was kind of surprised that the screen didn't go to 3.7, but now I'm kind of glad. Bigger screen does not equal better phone. I feel like we are having a screen size war. If Apple went with a 3.7, more phones will go for 4.0 and more just to compete with it. If they went with 4.3, you'd see more phones in the future that are close to 4.6 inch screen. Honestly, my pockets aren't gettin any bigger. A screen resolution war would be better in my opinion.

So, they get a patent on the original design of the iPhone and they change it...?

I am not an apple fan, nor can see myself being one ever. However, I speculate that this phone will be dirt cheap compared to the 4.3 inch AMOLED screen 12 MP camera phones. By making the price cheaper, Apple is attempting to go after the "late adopters" of the consumer class. Anyone with a major in business will know what I am talking about. It will be interesting to see. Apple has already gained loyalty from the early adopters who paid more for their phones and in theory subsidized the late adopters. Alot of the earlier adopters will continue to be customers of Apple phones in the future. They'll be the first ones to shell out the big bucks for Apple's 1st 4g iphone. I speculate that this phone you see will not have 4G capabilities. Its cheaper price tag will help Apple expand it's customer base creating more loyalty. By having a mix of early and late adopters Apple will be able to continue to do what it does best, releasing its products in technological layers i.e. 2G, 3G, 3Gs, etc. so that it is always selling a product someone. In the next 10 years, the laptop will be gone. We will all have phones that plug into workstations. Mark my words!

I thought AT&T had the last word on how much they want to subsidize the phone. I'm pretty sure that the iPhone doesn't cost the same up front and monthly every where in the world that they sell it. Nevertheless, you may be a little right. One thing I hate about Android is the fact that there are so many freaking devices out there. With Apple, I can expect to upgrade once or twice every two years. If I was to buy an Android phone right now, I really don't know what I'd choose. Too many phones that are exactly the same, yet somehow different.

E.N. , Yes each carrier has they're own pricing, Vodafone UK has the IPhone 3GS for FREE on a £75 plan or higher £75 Plan = $115.29 USD /month 3000 Anytime Minutes Unlimited Texting 24 Month Contract 1Gig of Unlimited Internet/Email Unlimited use of they're WIFI partners IPHONE 3GS Cost: FREE Example of a Lower plan: £30 Plan = $46.12 USD / Month 300 Anytime Minutes Unlimited Text Messages 24 Month Contract 1Gig of Unlimited Internet/Email Unlimited use of they're WIFI partners IPHONE 3GS Cost: £239 = $367.29 USD for IPhone I am not surprised if we will see pricing like this in the future. The higher the plan cost the cheaper your phone is and vice versa here in the states.
