So true, the Lumia have a "mid range" specs yet priced almost the same as S3 or iP4S on contract. So you're basically a die hard Nokia fan or an innocent persuaded by the personnel for commission if you get the Lumia. Nokia should put everything together great to stand out and really get attention. It should be a superb phone. Otherwise...

For survival sake Nokia should also make Driod devices. Copy Samsung, HTC and others. Else who knows the M$ zombie is just there to ensure all these failures.

A big part of the problem is that most people already have a lot of dough tied up in apps for their current favorite platform. Especially on Apple's side. It's going to take a superb OS with tons of fabulous low priced or free apps to pry them away. I'm sorry to say WP is just not it. They came too late to the dance and most of us already have a partner. Nokia needs to oust that CEO and get someone in there who has an idea about what's going on in the tech world. I love Nokia and will hate to see them go, but if they don't open up to Android I feel it's curtains for them.

Folks I think Nokia will survive because "Microsoft Will Buy Nokia's entire smart Phone division due to the fact Nokia is an asset Microsoft cannot let fall into Apple's hands or Android's hands because of Nokia's Powerful Patent portfolio.and Nokia makes it's best "Windows Smart phones" . Microsoft bought "Skipe" and lets it run some what independently Microsoft can do the same with Nokia. Microsoft's OEM partners would be angry but The OEM"S will continue to make at least one model of the windows 8 OS smart phones because they are that good. Microsoft might in the future change the way it's OS looks to help it sell better. frankly I hope they keep the tiles because it makes a Microsoft smart phone Deferent from the rest with their dead do nothing ICONs

Being a long time Verizon customer, I have never had a Nokia. Their phone have always appealed to me in quality and design but I just never had the opportunity to give them a chance. After the show in Berlin I can safely say I will have that chance now that Nokia's future is secure and they are soon to gain the thrust necessary to pull them out of their nose dive. Why, because from tablets, computers and phones, Microsoft is finally receiving all the hype with their upcoming operating platform and the floodgates have opened with just about every mid to top tier manufacturer placing a lot of resources to come up with good looking mobile products for Windows 8. This and the inclusion of Nokia to CDMA carriers is sure to pathe the path for market growth of both Microsoft and Nokia in the wireless arena. With Nokia putting all their eggs in Microsofts basket and with their obvious intimate ties with the company, coupled with the great design and innovative features (wireless charging out of the box) and you have the company that will be leading the pack for the platform that will soon experience the greatest growth percentage for mobile phones

in order for nokia to survive, throw stephen eFLOP and its comrades... bring the old nokia bosses like McDowell on board again!!!

WP8 will be great and Lumia will be the BEAST of WP8 army!!!

now that samsung joining the WP8 army.. i think it's safe to say that WP8 will get 2-digit share in no time!!! if they release the Ativ S, new Lumias and HTC WP8 device on november, i think it will be great.. they should outsell iPhone and they should make it available before the iPhone will be release!

and if nokia will release a tablet that is inspired by the N9 design, it will be epic.. and if nokia will make a 7" tablet out of WP8 and price like nexus but better.. android is doomed!!!

analyst are just so negative.. why dont they just stick to their own apple world! (i like apple though but i hate that they are so fanatic of apple) if they want to hate competitions!!!!!

Windows Phone will be good!!!

but BlackBerry is just on the 50:50 kinda state... its all about the decisions... but these OSes (WP8 and BB10) will be great and a great challenger and company (Nokia and RIM) will be ok if the decisions they make is for the greater good for the company..

but i still hate elop!! abandoning Symbian and MeeGo-- i cant stand him!!!! i think Heins is a better CEO than hm!!!

competitions are the best... i hate the duopoly of android and iOS..

i hate that microsoft is being monopoly to qualcomm's chips on WP... thay should allow other chips to be build on their chips!!!

Nokia HW looks real good... WP8 looks good... now they should have the decent price so people can afford.. otherwise samsung will just lower down the price of Ativ S to complete nokia wp8. I am looking ahead to a growing and stable wp8 ecosystem

if nokia just took android as an os for them selves then they wouldn't be in this sh*t.
Its just a fact that android sells well and even if they had only like 5% of those android sales they would do allot better.
