Flipkart customers order the Windows Phone 8.1 powered Xolo Q900S, receive Android model instead

So you ordered the Windows Phone 8.1 powered Xolo Q900S from Flipkart, the largest online retailer in India. When the phone arrived, instead of the version of the phone powered by Microsoft's mobile OS, the device you received had Android pre-installed. Don't you hate when that happens? To make sure you get the model you ordered, mark Flipkart's website to get a free return of the Android model, and wait for the Windows Phone variant to arrive...

I think MS didn't pay HTC, but threatened HTC. If HTC did not build WP phone, MS gonna sue HTC for using android because according to MS, they owned the patent for android.

This should be turned into a horror movie... ............ No, but seriously.. I'd probably play with the Android phone for a few days because I'm sure it's got really some cool things going on.... But, then it's back to business with WP8.1Cyan.... Happy ending after all!

I never understand this stupid classification of "first", "second", or "third" world countries. Yes, India is a poor country, but it has a lot of advancements in science and technology, more so than some "first" world countries like the UK. XOLO is doing a great job. It's providing great phones at super cheap prices so that every single person, whether poor or not, can buy it in India. Now this type of mistake is still unacceptable from XOLO. But still, its a great company. Of course, idiotic trolls like joey18 wont understand anything.

India has more rich people than most of the countries in the world and it's also the third richest country in the world interms of the PPP even before we take the black money into consideration..... The real problem is corruption and the birth rate of the minorities.

Do you even know what 'third' world countries mean ? They're the countries who didn't choose any side during WW2. First world were who sided with america and britain and 2nd world countries were communist blocks and since India was under Britain's rules it was thus categorized as 'allies'. The word '3rd World countries'don't mean anything in today's day & age.

Go educate yourself and see which version he means: Third World Countries in terms of Political Rights and Civil Liberties. Third World Countries in terms of their Gross National Income (GNI) Third World Countries in Terms of their Human Development Third World Countries in Terms of Poverty Third World Countries in Terms of Press Freedom

You mean the guy who doesn't know the plural form of a 'country' ? BTW, that term was solely coined to differentiate for the reason I mentioned. Over the years it developed other meanings this doesn't justify it should still be used.

His statement was dumb, agreed. Poor spelling could be that English isn't his native language. I don't know what came first, I do think the seperation during the cold war indeed. Later on the indication if a country is poor or has any industry.

Got the Xiaomi Mi3 from Flipkart. This thing is a Nexus 5, Moto X Killer at only half the price. Blows the Competition away.

Unless you want LTE. But yeah, nice phone otherwise. The Mi-3S with LTE is supposedly on the way, but no idea what bands it'll actually support.

There is no widespread LTE network in India at the moment.

How does it feel?? I mean as far as quality goes.. Does it feel responsibly solid for its price range, or does it raise the bar?

So far the reviews have been good. Value for money was the bottomline. It is half the price of nexus 5 with identical specs. And the UI also received some praise. So overall happy customers is all I see.

After using htc one, this is the only well built phone for me. Premium feel, responsive screen, 7hrs of screen on time, smooth ui,fast GPS lock, good rear facing camera, charges in 2hrs (despite being 3050mah battery), loud speakers, great headphone experience . all for the price of $230.

If Nokia 630 should have been released with these specs apart from processor then it would be better competitor.

"No offense" comment coming from someone who took immediate offense on Penny's comment and replied with a stupid hateful sentence.

Why you so sad? There was no hate in my comment and I wasn't offended by his sentence in first place. You should be cool dude and by the way I have respect for WP.

No offense taken. I was clearly trolling with my comment because, well, I am just tired of wasting time actually reasoning with the many hateful Android trolls here. This site and the readers just clearly aren't worth it. Wasn't satisfying for me anyway. So I took offense in your trolling comment because it is a deserved response to my trolling comment.
