Flipkart customers order the Windows Phone 8.1 powered Xolo Q900S, receive Android model instead

So you ordered the Windows Phone 8.1 powered Xolo Q900S from Flipkart, the largest online retailer in India. When the phone arrived, instead of the version of the phone powered by Microsoft's mobile OS, the device you received had Android pre-installed. Don't you hate when that happens? To make sure you get the model you ordered, mark Flipkart's website to get a free return of the Android model, and wait for the Windows Phone variant to arrive...

It's a FREE upgrade. He should be happy. He can install the WP8 launcher on this Xolo android, so he got 2 device for the price of 1.

And you need a vacation to see a doctor. Cause of your jealousy. Truth is painful to accept.

They ordered a WP, they see Android as a downgrade and you silly Android fans should quit carrying on about Launchers. They are not a Full WP experience just a superficial imitation of one, the same thing goes for them imitating iOS. Tell us the level of which Launchers can imitate WP experience or iOS for that matter.

Hi Liveitup, Microsoft fired 18,000 employee, and you're don't get the pink slip?

I am a fan of the OS unlike paid trolls like yourself who is employeed to bash Microsoft and BB. Microsoft has over 100,000 employees, Google has just over 52,000. Tell Google to step its game up when it comes to hiring.

They are better ones. 1 Google worker need 2 Microsoft workers. Live it up your life and do not defend Microsoft. They are and I know what I'm saying. My wife used to work there.

Saying that 1 Google workers are worth 2 of MS workers is simply dumb. How about you live your life and stop defending Google. Darn Android trolls.

Would you be happy if you get a wp instead of an android phone and a wp fan tells you that you should be happy because its an upgrade? It's a 2 in 1 phone only in your view, the wp launchers are very different when compared to the original windows phones....there are many good android phones available in flipkart but they chose wp.

If I have monetary problem and ordered WP just because of it, and got android version. I would be happy, because that's an upgrade. I know it, because WP DON'T have QUALITY apps, android have lots of QUALITY APPS. If I ordered android version, and got WP version, and WP fans tell me I should be happy, I won't be, because I know it's a lie, WP don't have apps. WP is a downgrade compared to Android.

But there are many people who are buying windows phones despite that...there are good inexpensive android phones but those people want wp... and they have the right to get it.

AGREE with you. Every one deserve to buy what ever he/she think they want. But according to my observation, the one that got Nokia buy the Nokia WP just because of nokia brand, most of them didn't really know that WP sux, and some of them will feel sorry / cheated. And also, Nokia really have a GOOD durability quality on it's phone. The phone feel solid despite being low price. I'm talking about the hardware durability/quality, not software/OS.

i have two points to make 1)the windows phone that is mentioned in this article is not made by nokia so it's not something that needs to be discussed in this article. 2)if wp became popular because of nokia and if people felt cheated after buying windows phones, then wp would have died in a few months but it's marketshare is growing really fast despite having very few apps when compared to android or ios...and the nokia phones these days aren't as durable as they used to be. as i have said before, you may not like wp but there are people who love wp.

Microsofts Wp is so garbage, that they have to pay every Oems to make there garbage disliked platform. Cause every Oems have tried selling and pushing Wp, but it was always a fail. MS even paid HTC, to make Wp. Lmao.

You are the delusional one dummy. Have you ever used WP? I have. It's not as good as Android. But it definitely doesn't suck as much as you imply. And more importantly, if MS is paying OEMs, why in the world are you against that?? It means cheaper devices for the customers who are COMPLETELY FINE WITH WP and don't need whatever Android has to offer over WP. Oh, it seems I owned you, dummy.

I like Wp8 I just don't like the OS, due to being closed and no options for root and Roms and kernels Lmao We are talking to each other? Wth is going on? An imitation of me I have the L1020. Will be selling to get the 1520 or 930 And no you have not owned me. Cause I'm no fanboy. I give credit where it deserves. I'm not delusional or in denial.

The point is: Not being able to have superuser access or not having any ROMs MATTERS TO YOU. And tell me one thing, who in the world buys 200$ from an unknown brand to root it and put ROMs on it?? People buy these phones to try a smartphone and decent experience with no frills is all they need. Imitation of you my ass. Check my grammar, my writing style, my sensibility compared to you. I am nothing like you, dummy.
