Flash Player 10.1 for Android is now released to partners; requires Android 2.2 or higher
Adobe has released Flash Player 10.1 for Android to its partners. The player will run once certain Android phones get to upgrade to the 2.2 (Froyo) build which is expected to happen on the following 8 handsets (in no particular order)-the Motorola DROID, Dell Streak, Google Nexus One, Motorola MILESTONE, HTC EVO 4G, HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Desire and the Samsung Galaxy S. Flash Player 10.1 was also released to partners whose cellphones use other platforms such as BlackBerry, webOS, Windows Phone7 and the Symbian OS among others. David Wadwhani, GM and VP of platform business at Adobe said, "We are thrilled that more than three million Flash designers and developers are now able to unleash their creativity on the world of smart phones, tablets, netbooks, televisions and other consumer electronics."
