First real HTC One UltraPixel camera samples pop up (video)

A few improvised photos have been snapped during the HTC One unveiling festivities yesterday, and with the phone itself at that. So far we only had the company's promo shots, which looked good, but promotional pics are usually done in the best of circumstances, so real-life shots are what counts...

Are those the fantastic down-sampled photos of the HTC One?!? They are full of noise I just can’t imagine how they would come out if taken on full resolution...

I'm still looking for a phone that could replace my Sony Xperia X10i (which has been with me for more than 2 years). But I don't think this would be the One.

No need to be an expert when they're this obviously bad. My dear grandmother with her cataracts could see these are bad.

acceptable for a phone in my eyes, and as for the first comment, the iPhone 4S and the 5 have the same camera, they just decreased size for the 5. Just saying. Also, I don't see anything wrong with the One pictures, they seem fine. You want professional looking pictures, get a Nokia PureView 808, or an actual point and shoot camera.

What I don't get is why go for the hard sell on 4 mps? Okay, megapixels don't matter, that's cool. But non-PA readers aren't getting that message. If it really doesn't matter, make it an 8 ultra pixel sensor and cram all that new technology into it so when the general public compares it to their current device. The average consumer wanting a better camera than their current 5mp camera will most likely not even give this 4mp or up camera a second look base that misconception of higher mp equals higher quality.

Nexus 4 isn't really a good measuring stick since even the One X has a better camera.
