It's not about that it's "for the physical and psychological trauma suffered as a direct consequence of the explosion" Just the usual lawsuit drama, probably he'll buy another XS Max after he get the money.

Not sure why he couldn't just simply get that burning phone out of his pocket, instead of taking down his jeans.... Was he drunk?

Yup that's right, as we all know Apple is always late to add features that others have had for years.

Yeah but that explosion feature was exclusive to Samsung. What's gon happen now Apple's paying 539 million for copying? Lol

Don't worry, I'm sure they'll find a way say they did it first and successfully turn the law suit back on Samsung in American court.

1000? where do you get that from, it was under 100, with 35 being the official figure in the US when the recall was announced.

As I was reading I though: Wow, no mention at all of the Note 7. And then I got to the last line...

That superstar decided to retire as his old tricks weren't working anymore. Future generations have moved on and decided not to use his old tricks. Oh wait, read post #5.

Did you say old tricks? https://www.businesstoday.in/technology/news/samsung-exploding-phone-galaxy-note-9-burns-woman-purse/story/282474.html Guess it's not that old, even Note 9 taking inspiration.

This was fake. There is no other report or proof that was real.

Yup, but as the article says - occasionally reports of battery fires do come from other manufacturers as well. That does not mean there will be a "trend". You however are suggesting there will be a "trend" of iPhone XS Max explosions. I've graciously put quotation marks around the word trend so that you may look up the definition.

That was found out to be false...
