First Samsung Galaxy Note 3 GFXBench, AnTuTu and Vellamo benchmark results

Once again, Hi! from Berlin, where IFA 2013 is taking place with full force, and boy what a show it is! We've already seen the Xperia Z1 Honami, the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, and of course - the Galaxy Note 3 phablet. If that's not an exciting event, we don't know what is!...

That's a silly assumption. There will be a large continuing demand for compact devices.

The Z1 is in the category of phablet size. Oct. 2 for T-Mobile, can't wait to get one.

"If you don't get this phone becos you hate samsung then you are indeed missing out on the fun." Wait, what? So if he/she don't get this phone, that means he/she hate Samsung? No offense but your comment doesn't make any sense. Yes, the Galaxy Note 3 is a beast, I like it as well, but that doesn't mean I should get it.

i said if you don't get it because you hate samsung. That means you like the device but don't want it because of hate. That's what i mean.

Did XperiaDROID just say he liked a Samsung device? What? Am I reading this correctly?

While you have it in your hand do you have anyway of determining the subpixel matrix? I'm really curious about whether it's the same diamond subpixel layout as the GSIV.

Android Beat states in their review that it uses the same sub-pixel arrangement as the S4. I'm not sure how they know that, as they didn't provide any pictures, or even sources. However, I'd think that Samsung would make a big deal if they switched to a traditional RGB arrangement. http://www.androidbeat.com/2013/09/samsung-unveils-galaxy-note-3-leather-back/

Thanks. I read that article too, but it seems fishy to me. Arstechnica said it wasn't pentile, so who knows?

Is everyone legitimately blind? It barely beat the HTC One how is that beast? Also hope you realize the G2 review unit got 29k +. I hope this has been a learning experience for all of you people who know nothing lol

samsung pays for commenters to drum up the brand, not intelligence

Copy and pasted from the other benchmark article "The LG G2, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Galaxy Note 3, and Galaxy S4 LTE A all use the same chipset, and in theory, get the same scores. However, there's a few scenarios that impact the final result. - Whether or not the phone is hitting a thermal throttle roof (this can be bypassed artificially by storing the phone in a very cold space) - How well optimized the software of a device is to its hardware - Frequency output caps placed by the manufacturer. (Can be overcome by rooting and OC'ing the CPU/GPU)" All these Snapdragon 800 devices can achieve over 35,000 on AnTuTu.

... In other news, no one cares about the Sony Xperia churned carbon copy, in light of the Galaxy Note 3.

Wow, so much hate. What is it with fanboys? Is it so hard to accept when a better product arrives? This happens every 6 months or so anyway. And that doesn't mean your phone is crap, if you like it and are happy with it then good for you! Still, that doesn't change the fact that this is right now the baddest boy in town. Apple is soon to announce its new devices, will they perform as good or even better? Perhaps! And if that happens there won't be any denying it! As of today, September 7th, this is the king of the hill in despite of anyone's opinion, potential market, etc.

It's ok i suppose i won't argue seeing as this is a article about the Note. Even though we all know realistically the G2 is better XP

Phonearena you messed up bad with the Antutu Benchmarks... The Galaxy S4 scores you posted were from the 3.xx old version of Antutu. My i9505 Galaxy S4 (Quad Core Version) Gets 28000 in antutu with the new 4.0 update. Please update and fix accordingly
