First Samsung Galaxy C handset appears on Geekbench 3?
According to the results of a Geekbench 3 benchmark test, Samsung is working on a new series called the Samsung Galaxy C. The test shows a device with the model number SM-C5000. The specs listed by Geekbench reveal that the unit is powered by the Snapdragon 617 SoC, carrying an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside.

Last month, the SM-C5000 showed up on India's import-export tracking site Zauba. The listing mentioned that the device will feature a 5.2-inch screen. Insiders familiar with Samsung's plans say that while the Galaxy C series will be designed for the Chinese market, sales of the handsets will not be limited to that country.

With the revelation that the SM-C5000 has been put through the Geekbench 3 benchmark test, next stop should be TENAA. When that happens, we should much more about the phone, including specs related to the camera and the battery. By the way, we should mention that the SM-C5000 has Android 6.0.1 pre-installed.

The results of the Geekbench 3 test showed a single-core score of 609. The multi-core figure was 3147.

Thanks for the tip!

Yup even their budget phones are good now. But a little more streamlining needed in the portfolio.

I think Samsung should stop making a Galaxy phone for every letter in the alphabet, and focus more on their continued path to slim down and optimize TouchWiz.

This is out of topic but I need help. My laptop has been infested with a malware called mail.ru. I would appreciate it if you share anything regarding to how to remove this.

I'm assuming you use windows. Linux doesn't have much of malware issues and I don't know how to use OS X. Go to control panel>uninstall apps. You will most likely find a lot of crappy programs which are most likely malware. Uninstall anything you don't recognize. ^This should sort out the issue. If it doesn't, just factory reset the system from settings.

What's worse is that I can't even reset my search engine, saying this was forced by the admin. I'm currently waiting for my computer scan be finished. This is my first time dealing with malware so pardon if I'm overreacting.

1. Open task manager and close the related background app in the background processes section. 2.Disconnect the internet 3. Add or remove programs -> Uninstall any unwanted apps. 4. Disable and Delete all the unwanted extensions in Chrome. 5. Start a Full Scan in Windows Defender (Keep it upto date too)

In the past, I've anti virus and malware programs but none worked as efficiently as Hitman Pro:http://www.surfright.nl/en/downloads/ It is a paid software but you should receive your first scan free. Give it a go.

The C-serie isn't new PhoneArena! Remember the SM-C105? Beter known as the S4 Camera.

Based on how good Samsung cameras have been recently, I would like to see a camera centric handset by them

I think the letter C refers to Camera. Probably this phone will have a unique camera .. just guessing

617 with 4 GB of RAM is a waste.

I think that Sammy should only use it's S, Note, A and J-series and as tablets Tab S (maybe Tab Note) and Tab A.
