Fire 7 tablet is just $35 at Amazon for a 33% discount

Normally priced at $44.99, Amazon is taking $15 off of the Fire 7 tablet for its Prime members. That works out to $34.99 for a tasty 33% discount. The tablet carries a 7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 600 x 1024. Powering the device is a quad-core CPU running at 1.3GHz, and 1GB of RAM is inside. Only 8GB of native storage is available, but a 256GB capacity microSD slot allows you to add more photos, videos and other content.

Hands-free Alexa is available when the screen is on, or plugged into a power source. A 2MP camera is on back with a .3MP selfie camera in front. The battery provides 8-hours of usage, and the device is available in Black, Marine Blue, Punch Red and Canary Yellow.

Keep in mind that the Amazon Fire 7 tablet has a forked version of Android installed, which means that there are no Google apps pre-loaded, and you will not be able to browse the Google Play Store. Instead, you will select apps from The Amazon Appstore, which does contain some of the same titles available in the Play Store. In other words, those buying the Fire 7 tablet will be exposed to the Amazon eco-system.
