Final Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL specs are posted by Carphone Warehouse

Earlier today, we showed you a couple of images from Bell Canada that included a white Google Pixel and a black Google Pixel XL. Eventually, a photo showing a black Pixel appeared. Now, we have hit the mother lode as retailer Carphone Warhouse posted listings for both phones. Keep in mind that these aren't leaks, full of rumored information. Assuming no further changes to the pair, these are the final specs...

I take all my pictures with HDR+ enabled and I've taken some where I was one-handing it, and I didn't get any image blur. I'm not saying you can't make it happen, but it doesn't have to be perfectly still either.

I love my Pixel C and the Nexus 6P was great so I have high hopes for this one too. Too bad its HTC instead of Huawei again or Xiaomi or something. I would have no doubts about it if it came from anyone else.

while nexus6 have front-facing stereo speaker and tiny bezels.. they should just copy that design and make 5.5-5.7inch version of it :-/

Boring design. Nice specs.

f/2.0 aperture? That's disappointing, hopefully they're using a large sensor to make up for that.

Honestly, contrary to popular opinion, I don't even have any problem with the design but GOD, those specs? Those damn boring old specs with that price tag by a phone apparently hyped all this while as the first google phone? *facepalm*

The camera might surprise us, but I'm not holding my breath.

The 6P is currently takes the best photos at low light despite having a f/2.0 lens and lacking OIS This will be even beter considering it has OIS

But only with HDR+ and if everything is perfectly still. :-)

Like I said previously, it doesn't have to be perfectly stil on my 6p. And considering this will also have OIS, that will help even more.

Wait!!! Just this? So, there's nothing more? Nah, there's gotta be something else google is hiding otherwise, this is a shame tbh.. No 6 gigs ram? No ff speakers? Same lame 2.0 aperture No wireless charging? No andromeda? No dual cameras? No DAMN NOTHING NEW???

I haven't had any issues with performance on my 6p and that only has 3GB or RAM. Unless they're doing what they did with the HTC 10, using the earpiece as one speaker and a separate speaker on the bottom. Yes, but it will also have OIS this time around. Fair enough. No one has Andromeda and it isn't expected to launch until next year. Now all of a sudden dual cameras are a must have? It's almost as if people are expecting something like those rumored Turing phones with dual processors and stuff that sounds like it's out of science fiction. Maybe they're taking what they had in the 6p and polishing it.

32GB with sdcard, so just like every other overpriced flagship device on the market.

This phone looks nice, it's like an iPhone, even the wallpaper is similar

I'm disappointed. The design looks very bland and generic. The Nexus 6P was pleasing to look at, and when I first had it, many random people would ask about it (I had the silver one). Same goes for my current Xiaomi Mi Max, but the Pixel XL is a real let down. I have been waiting this whole year to finally own another Google smartphone since the 6P had its fair share of performance issues thanks to Qualcomm (:/), but I might just skip it and go for the iPhone 7, or maybe stick to my Mi Max.

They should have given a bigger battery for Pixel. Those bezels and on screen Navigation Buttons. If they don't have a killer camera(to justify the rumoured price), these would be tough to sell against those of Samsung lineup and the ever increasing Sub 400$ snapdragon 820 power houses Mi5(3000mAh, f**king lite,5.2" screen without on screen Navigation), Mi5s, Mi5s Plus, One Plus 3, Axon 7 Zuk Z2, Honor 8, Le Max2, Le Pro3 and many other Chinese brands.

I think you're underestimating the benefit of having 1080 resolution. I was able to get 2 full days out of my Droid Maxx with a 3400mAh battery and a 720 screen, and that was with its modified S4 Pro. I'd imagine an 821 will be much more efficient that that was.

Mi5 and many of phones mentioned are also sporting 1080p display. 5'',1080p. 3000mAh would ensure killer battery life. Why sacrifice it for the sake of 2mm/1mm. 821 is pretty efficient, but that extra battery would give you at least extra 30-40 min of SOT/6 hours of standby. You might get decent battery initially. All these batteries are not user replaceable and with Quick charging pushing the battery to it's extreme, after a year or so, these batteries would degrade and your battery life goes from decent to bad. with that extra battery, your experience would be great to decent.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want a larger battery inside and I wouldn't mind a thicker phone as well since they're usually easier to grip. What I was saying is I think it will at least get the same battery life as the phone it's replacing, the 5x, maybe better. As far as quick charging, while it's harder on the battery than slower chsrging, unless you're constantly charging the device, like twice a day, it'll get more than a year. I'm currently using the 6p and before that I had the Droid Turbo, both of which use fast charging and the battery isn't many worse than phones I've had that were slow charging. By that I mean the time from a charge is pretty much the same since I initially got the phone.

All the crazy battery optimizations they do, can extend only your Standby time, but if you are playing some game with VR or any other power hungry tasks, extra battery would definitely come in handy. The chips are efficient, so let's reduce the battery. These is the same game even Laptop manufacturers are playing.

Not necessarily. If the newer processor and you are more efficient, it will also have an effect on SOT as well. Same with a more efficient display. But I agree, the OEMs seem to try and stay around a set amount of use time. The one that was a good example was the iPhone from a few years ago. They put a more efficient cpu/you, and reduced the battery size. They chose making the phone thinner rather than giving it better battery life.

Agreed. My nephew is running it now. And he still says he has to work to kill it in a single day. If they had kept the original Droid Turbo's resolution at 1080 instead of 2K, but kept the 3900mAh battery, they might've had one that couldve matched or exceeded the Droid Maxx's battery life. As it was, I was never able to beat the Maxx's battery life with the Turbo.

Moto Z is released in India today and they didn't release Moto Z force here. Funny thing is Pixel would costing more than Moto Z(even S7 Edge) in India. I have One Plus One, thanks to Snapdragon, there won't be official 7.0 and Oneplus won't patch to support VoLTE. I thought of waiting for pixel, and I am glad that I didn't wait. I bought LeEco Le2 for ~200$(supports VoLTE, packs the same performance as OPO) as a Temporary Phone, till I get good Phone that matches my requirement. All the phones in India are unlocked and it's illegal for Carriers to subsidize phones, So we can't change phones as Often we want. Pixel is crossed off in my list, would be waiting for Moto Z force. OP3 is a good buy now, but as soon as OP4 releases, software support would lag.
