Assuming no further changes to the pair, these are the final specs...

There is a few launchers that will give you pie controls as well, without rooting.

Which ones? I usually use LMT launcher, cant remember if it requires root but I'm currently hiding my onscreen buttons by editing the build.prop, which requries root I know rumors are that existing methods of rooting dont work on the Pixels, but I'm sure someone will figure it out within a couple days of release

Android 7 will be very very hard to root though. I wouldn't say impossible. But almost the only way to root, is a custom rom.

I still reckon someone will figure out how to root without flashing a custom rom Will fail the SafetyNet check though (i.e. lose Android Pay, ...)

Let's hope so :) Although running a custom rom that's basically stock, isn't that bad either. You lose OTA anyway

At least it has a large battery, outside of samsung those battery sizes are unheard of at those screen sizes. Also the beauty of android is the fact that you can change those on screen buttons if you want to.

Seriously.. on screen buttons and a ginormous bottom bezel?? Always hated on screen buttons, eats away at screen real estate

The problem with all of the ones mentioned, except for the V20, is they're not available for all carriers. With me being on Verizon, most of them aren't an option. And from the pricing rumors of the V20, it's going to be in the same price range, and going by their history, updates aren't going to be as quick as these should be. I'd heard rumors the the Axon might be made available from Verizon, or at least be able to run on their networks even though not supported, but I haven't seen anything yet.

Axon 7 is okay, stuttering and minor lag to be expected at times, ZTE are not that great when it comes to software.

It seems like you've not used Axon 7. its super smooth more smooth than S7 edge or HTC 10

That's what I'd like to know. And why two different rows of buttons (capacitive and on-screen)? They should've just stuck with the on-screen buttons. Now they're doing what they were giving Samsung crap for doing.

Hey, I'm just curious as the where you heard or read that the Pixel devices will have capacitive touch buttons? This is the first I'm seeing this. Thanks.

I'm wondering that as well. There's no mention of it anywhere, and none of the renders show capacitive buttons. In fact I camt remember the last Nexus that had them, maybe the Galaxy Nexus?

Even it does not have, Nexus S(Ginger bread one) had it.
