Final Fantasy Brave Exvius hits 8 million downloads, Brave Frontier crossover announced

Publisher Square Enix boasted that the free-to-play mobile title, Final Fantasy Brave Exvious, has been downloaded more than 8 million times. To support the game's considerable success, Square and fellow publisher Gumi announced an update featuring a limited time crossover event that includes characters from the latter's Brave Frontier game.

From November 11 through November 24, Brave Exvius players will enter the Grand Gaia Chronicles through the Vortex, unlocking new reward tiers, clearing the Overwhelming Darkness stage, and potentially receiving a bonus Unison Reward. Brave Frontier characters, such as Tilith, Karl, Seria, and Elza will appear in FFBE, with each hero available as an unique pixel art version and available through Feature Summon throughout the event.

The update also introduces PvP mode, letting players face off against other players' teams in the arena. Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is available on Android and iOS mobile devices.

Been playing it since day 1. Quit two weeks ago. Four months or so of work was a waste. Thing is, like all gacha games, it's so, so incredibly reliant on luck. Lottery level statistic luck. Spending hundreds of dollars may get you nowhere, meaning you can't compete in top level content despite spending more money than you did on the new Battlefield. Basically? Screw this game. I've got a zillion paid apps i have to finish still and they're all way more worth the time.
