Facebook app for iPhone and iPad to get a major overhaul

If you go to the Google homepage, type "Facebook iPhone app is" and let Autocomplete fill in the rest, you will get an idea just how much the iOS Facebook client needs to be improved. In a nutshell, it tends to get slow on occasions, which is unacceptable for an app of such popularity. Thankfully, there is light at the end of the tunnel, yet it will take a while before we get to see what is actually glowing there, it seems...

They don't make any money off people using mobile, why would they want a great user experience? I know that sounded a bit pessimistic, but it's sort of true. I would also love to see a new, rewritten android app.

facebook for ipad is soooooooooo trash...

glad they are finally updating it...

both iOS versions are entirely too slow...

Considering the Android version is almost the same as the iPhone one, I sure hope they update the Android version too! Especially since there isn't even a tablet version.
