European Samsung Galaxy S7 runs through Geekbench, matching the score of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge

Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy S7 went through Geekbench with the Exynos 8890 SoC inside. This model (SM-G930W8) attained single-core and multi-core scores of 1873 and 5946, respectively. Just a couple of days ago, another version of the Galaxy S7 also was benchmarked by Geekbench. But this unit carries a different model number (SM-G930F), which indicates it is heading to Europe. It also will be powered by the Exynos 8890 SoC...

Now I can see from the benchmark that the phone can run perfectly fine in powersaving mode compared to 2015 flagships. Great!

Seems more like exynos without benchmark cheating code to me.

That's because you're a tard, Samsung phones haven't had the "cheating" code for years.

Probably one of the existing haters, with a second account. Then they can hate and upvote themselves.

"Samsung phones haven't had the "cheating" code for years" ??? I don't think so.

2013 mate, check the dates first maybe. Samsung dropped all the optimizations in 2014, in case your not aware it's currently 2016.

I'm still not understanding how the benchmark "cheat" is really a cheat. It's not like it was running beyond spec. It actually run quite a few things in the same setting outside of benchmarks

It's misleading because applications in general are not treated the same way, only benchmarks were affected by this. This was only for benchmarks, nothing else. I don't remember any proof showing this happening in other applications, I would be very concerned if it did as it would result in massive overheating and battery drain. They're not meant to run at full speed for any length of time, most Android SoC's will drop between 30-50% performance to maintain temps after a few minutes of running at intensive application.

Maybe they will surprise you eventually ;) as much as I want SD820 to be better than Exynos 8890 still I'm waiting for SD820 to beaten by Samsung.

It is real. The 8890 in power saving mode has a better multi core score than the A9. That is embarrassing, just not for Samsung.

Multi score + Apples chip. Lol. You don't know much do you. All educated android fans know Apple makes the best SoC in mobile.

All uneducated Apple fans know that. The rest of us know that when the newest Apple SOC comes out, it loses in multicore and several overall benchmarks to the already six month old ARM SOCs. In this case, a new CPU in super piwer saving mode brat it in multicore. Yes, it's a very good CPU, but the fact is that all the flagship CPUs are more than powerful enough to run a smartphone. Something else I know- PA needs to do some major work on their mobile website. It's the worst. Come on, PA, people have been telling you how terrible this site is for months now. Make a move.

PA's website is a joke. Also, you'd think that a website purposely made for smartphones would have a smartphone app... Another thing. They beg and cry for us to turn off our Ad Blockers because it supports them, yet they keep releasing sh*tty articles and click bait. The site overall is garbage.

Its about time my slow crappy S6 got replaced. I cant wait for S7 to come out. I'm stuck using slow Samsungs coz my company are on contract with carriers. If only we can switch to iPhones, Xperias or LGs our life would be better.

U read me ryt. Slow crappy. Office applications are slow. Transfering data to my Surface is slow, not even compatible to USB3.0. Calls drops frequently, tested it, not carrier related. Data tethering is slow AF. So many gripes on S6. I hope our company change something non-Samsung.

28. TyrionLannister unregistered

Yeah, because all other devices are USB 3.0 compatible. All of the devices seem firmware related. Do a factory reset, should fix them. I am using the device for around 10 months and have none of the issues you mentioned.

The s6 transfer files over to Any pc and back again faster than any 3.0 USB phone including note 3 due to ufs, so you full of it
