Pick up the Essential Phone from Amazon for only $399.99

Last month, the Essential Phone was discounted at Best Buy, offered at a price of $450. Now, the price of Andy Rubin's high-end handset has been reduced to $399.99 at Amazon. That is $100 or 20% off Amazon's pre-sale price of $499.99. And it is a far cry from the notched phone's $699.99 initial price. In case it has slipped your mind, the Essential Phone features a 5.71-inch edge-to-edge LCD display with a customizable notch...

That's honestly a quality phone for that specific price range. The build is amazing, even compared to flagships and the software is generally much improved compared to how it was at its release. I would definitely consider this over a Oneplus 5T, if you can live with your phone having a notch and a mid-range camera. In Essential's defence, they do have the best notch out there, as it is much smaller than the likes seen on the Iphone X or even the Huawei P20. Essential did the notch first, and so far they still have the best notch design. I personally prefer a design without a notch, as I see it as a compromise while brands wait for technology to mature. Looking at a compromise every day isn't my thing, but It's personal preference tho.

The camera is definitely not mid range since the updates. Plus for $49 extra you can get the 360 camera as well. Which is great for VR and Cardboard. Try looking for a 4k 360 camera for $49. Good luck finding one. That 360 camera puts this deal over the top.

The 360 camera attachment puts this into a great buy. That and it's build quality is second to none. Especially with its titanium and ceramic materials. Makes it really durable. BB10. Not to mention the 4 GB of RAM, SD 835, and 128 GB of storage.

Picked one up from BestBuy for $399 today. Would LOVE to have the Grey color, but I couldnt justify paying extra for color. This is a great phone. That price makes it almost unable to pass up.

How’s the signal reception in weak areas compared to your past phones?

below $500 should be the price since release! $400 is good price for the hardware, but only few people will buy

That's a good deal. Although, I'm looking to see what the U12 brings. If the rumor mill is true, and it's a very slim bezel 5.5" device, that will make the phone very one-hand capable.
