dont get me wrong...i love htc. but...i think they need to be more worried about battery life than processor speed. the evo is leaps and bounds a bigger, more powerful phone than the hero and yet it uses the same battery!!! come on htc! processor speed is not the only thing that makes people buy phones...think about BATTERY LIFE, not just speed!

Actually, the GSM Hero uses a 1340 mAH battery, while the CDMA Hero (a different phone) uses a 1500 mAH - as does the Evo 4g. Considering that no phone has a battery which is larger than 1500 mAH, afaik - it is ultimately not the type of battery used, that matters, but the way it is consumed. Even the iPhone 4 which by all means has very good batter life uses a 1420 mAH batter, and it is reported in this article that the new processors will drain 30% less power than the previous generation.

I don't get it either, I have a car charger, had an extra battery for my original Droid and already ordered an extra battery for my Droid X. People are just never happy.

Hmm.. so I guess this is why people were so pissed the iPhone doesn't have a replaceable battery.

Well, i think that 1gz is fine, i mean my droid x which i hopefully soon get will be faster than my htc incred and that was plenty fast..Just the battery was completly like the palm pre which could be so much better... So i think my droid x will fix that...once i actually charge it fully first! A LOT OF PEOPLE DONT DO THAT, YOU SHOULD CHARGE YOUR PHONE LIKE 8 HOURS FIRST BTW...SO YOU CANT COMPLAIN...It might be your fault....Just saying...

AFAIAC. I need speed and not battery life. Next generation cellphones will have their own solar cell.
