Dual-camera iPhone 7 Pro with Smart Connector tipped again, no dual speakers or thinner design

A few weeks ago, iPhone 7 spy shot schematics allegedly leaked from Catcher, the Taiwanese maker of all things phone, chassis and metal. The company makes the unibody HTC phones, and is often probed with test batches of possible premium designs, including by Samsung itself. Catcher allegedly concocted the iPad mini chassis, and has reportedly been part of the iPhone 6 design process, so apparently it has some kind of a relationship with Apple, and it's not hard to believe that it might be working with it on the iPhone 7 as well...

Yes 100%. I hate new iPhone designs. They're solid, feel solid too and quality made, but they're ugly.

I agree with you. when I held the iPhone 6 for the first time when the new design came, I liked as far as how it felt. But I also recall when the design was leaked, you all claimed Apple wouldn't make a phone that ugly and it turned out they did. As ugly as it was, they still sold 75M of them. Even if Apple makes an ugly product, you guy will still buy. Apple has you guys all hooked. I bought one ugly phone in my like. The Samsung Droid Charge. I bought it, because I never owned a Samsung using TouchWiz and I wanted to compare to HTC Sense. I didnt like TW then and I dont like it now or dislike it, I just like some of its features. But from the front, the latest iPhone don't look that much different than the older models. So I assume you mean ugly from the back. They took a slab and cut a chuck and just round the corners and shove the internals inside. No though was given to look, no thought was given to rigidity, no thought was given to style.

Techie. I was one of the guys who said "No way Apple will let this happen" (regarding iPhone 6 protruding camera). I was wrong and I still hate it. But the reason it still sells well, is because it's still a great product. Most keep theirs in a case - where you dont see the camera at all... My wife keeps it in flexible clear case which puts the camera flush with that thin silicone cover - actually feels nice... BUT I carry mine naked, and it bugs me... I'll even add that the BIGGER problem is the iPad PRO - it has a protruding camera on the back for a tablet specifically designed to be drawn on - it was a STUPID design choice - now if/when I get it - it will HAVE to go into a case - but I keep ipads in the case anyway - but still... J. Ive and Steve were a good team, J. Ive and Tim = bad team... One of them needs to go (or both!)...

The iphone is a sad JOKE bringing back 2012 all over again but for Apple heads they don't know any better. The iphone 6 nothing special there either I'm not overwhelmed by any of these offerings at all. The Galaxy Note 4 BITCH SLAPS any silly iphone 6 plus so easily it's comical and even the S5 and trash the iphone 6 very easily as well.

Camera test does prove the S5 takes better pictures than the iPhone 6's. And since the 6S' don't take better pictures than the last model, that means the S5 beats it too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LWvdWfYGh4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNAHv-E1HWU

Another huge success for Apple. But ugly for a phone.

Yeah, at this point the product isn't as important for sales as it being an Apple product. Or so it seems.

Certainly not the best looking device Apple has made, S7 and the HTC 10 easily suprass it in looks. So do all of apple's previous iPhones. It's good to see they're keeping the same thickness and only one speaker, would easily take a bigger battery over two speakers positioned in the same place. I'm not liking the iPhone pro though, what a bad product line - iPhone 7, 7 plus and 7pro. Can't they just go iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 pro??

It got me thinking. why not earpiece double as speaker as well? Like you said it save some space and its default front firing speaker too.

The HTC 10 will have the earpiece speaker you speak of. It's certainly a genius idea to get great quality audio and save up a lot of space at the same time. Both HTC and Samsung's flagships have spectacular battery life, and I can forgive LG because of the removable battery. If Apple wants to stay in the competition, they need to have a hard response to the battery life problem and I think your solution would be the best for Apple.

Just make sure you don't mix up your setting - imagine sticking this thing in your ear, turn you favorite somg (that loud one) and forget to switch to headphone mode. #bleeding-ears-gate.

This is a horrible design.. but i thought Meizu came out and said these leaks were fake and were nothing more than an edited Meizu Pro 6?

Meh will be such a pain in the ass, can't use same headset for phone and laptop anymore, have to carry an extra pair just for the phone? It's already annoying to look for the proprietary charging cable in the mass of Micro USB cables I have, but at least not worrying about up or down evens it out a little.

Well Apple wants people to chose their product over others, and this is one way of doing it. Apple dislikes standards or so is the impression, because they keep changing theirs to something else, even when there are high quality standards.

Well now I can't even use same headphones for phone and Macbook...

I think they were also agreeing about the iPhone 6 design being fugly, now I it's being called "beautiful"...

77. AlikMalix unregistered

Well some (including me) call it ugly, some call it beautiful. What is the problem here?

That alleged Pro chassis is hella ugly. I think it's real too, nothing is kept under wraps anymore.
