Droid Bionic update rolling out to everyone

Droid Bionic update rolling out to everyone
It may be hard to remember now, but the Droid Bionic was one of the most anticipated devices of 2011. The oft-delayed and totally redesigned Bionic wasn’t quite the smash hit that Verizon and Motorola had been hoping for, but quite a few people did snap one up. If you’re one of those people, be sure to head over to your “Settings” menu, select the “About Phone” option, and click on “System Updates”.

You’ll be treated to the 5.9.902 update that was subject to a soak test last week. The update brings a bevy of improvements to connectivity, battery life, and overall stability. Enlarge the image below for the full list of improvements.

Don't forget to let us know what you think about the new update!

You don't have to unroot it to update and keep root. Look in xda-developers site for some code to add to you build.prop or something. Or download voodoo rootkeeper in the market place.

I know but I don't want to flash the updates. it's much more convenient for me not owning the phone to just unroot, install the updates and root again with the SuperOneClick script. saves me a lot of trouble in the long run.

Sorry to tell you man but that means you will not be able to update unless you do a factory restore....I know it sucks but I had to suck it up last night and do it myself. then spend a few hours redoing all my apps and accounts but after that you can do the update and so far it does seem to have better battery life......mine has been on battery since about 5:30am and it is only down 20% with normal to heavier use, in 4G
