Do you see those little dots and “resuming” when switching apps in Windows Phone often? It’s not you or your phone

Windows Phone has come a long way in a very short period of time. One area it has gained the most...

Wow, you slid some honesty in your post about Rarely, admitting a slight non problematic issue an still capable of enjoying it thing. You see that is non antagonistic an informational at same time, also not seen much. When shill claims lag on Android posts. It is also contrary to what shils purport of, NO LAG WHAT SO EVER, ITS ALL BUTTERY SMOOTH! Just help clear things up a bit.

It still is buttery smooth, even with the resume screen. Difference, i hit news app, states resuming, less than a second later i get the news article. WP I hit google news, screen doesnt do anything, hit it a second time nothing but in the process of hitting it a 3rd, the news up suddenly 'stutters' up. That is lag. Droid.

Yeah people today are so demanding. They call loading screens "lag". In simple definitions, lag means a slow down in response time.

Transitional animations are a cover of lag of loading the app.

Plain stupidity. So loading screens are lag for you, in a same way boot screens are loading screens too hence booting is lagging?

LAG is delayed action. Yup. and does WP reboot every time you want to use it too? Making this too easy lol.

delayed action, not loading. Loading is not a delayed action. Loading is the system acting to your request. Lag is you doing something and the system NOT responding. The fact that the load/resume screen came up and takes a split second to a few, is not lag.

Difference is that lag is the literal hiccup of a process where the cpu/os are doing garbage collection. Meaning somewhere along the line the process has to restart. Say you touch an icon, that would send a process to be cycled by the cpu, but at the start of the pipeline to the end, before it gets to the end something happens and it restarts the process. As a result you the user, gets no reaction to your touch. Where as loading, is the cpu/os has registered a touch and now is loading the content. It has not hiccuped, restarted any cpu cycle and your touch was registered without have to rethink. though most people here will tell you loading is now lag.

Like... Skype? I think Skype is the worse one of the bunch that I use, everything else is pretty short, but Skype takes eons to load back up. Oh but doesn't Microsoft own Skype? Shoulda just kept Messenger, it was already built in, with basically all the same features, if not more.

Let me share this bit of yet another frustrating, diabolical and annoying experience with this WP os in its latest and greatest 8.1 iteration.  I wanted to buy some stupid app from that store of theirs to do a very basic function, which every android and ios and BB10 device I have was able to do out of the box without buying or downloading any sh!t.  To my surprise (actually I ceased to be surprised any more when I am using this maddening os) that grim store refused to recognise my existing credit card with them and requested that i fill in a new one from blank as if I'm buying their stinking sh!t for the first time! Why? Apparently while trying to install Contana (another piece of trash which I only wanted to fiddle with out of silly curiosity) I had to make a change to the country/regional settings (i.e. tell a rather needless lie by pretending to be located in the US ... i.e. typical half-baked sh!t from this typical WP trash). Oh, and that basic function i was trying to sort out that triggered all this?   It still nor can do,  5 or 6 month after buying that Lumia 1520. I'm a WP hater?  Of course not.  I'm not a lover or hater of these things.  I just don't care about OSs on personal level.  But simple things I would take for granted with say android I can't with WP.   And for the first time I'm starting to blame Nokia for this joke. Being on the verge of bankruptcy (and the nice hardware) makes you hesitate to blame Nokia.  But that WP os is so half-baked RIGHT UNTIL NOW,  that you are pressed very hard to excuse Nokia for long. When Apple was on the verge of bankruptcy, it didn't sink to this depth of mediocrity. It reacted differently. At this stage WP is not even as good as BB10 (in nearly all aspects) let alone the others. Its 3% market share is too flattering?
