Not a fan of iOS, but I'm very much flattered by the fluidity of WP. The lack of apps, and the ugly tiles on the home screen refrains me from jumping its ship. The absence of slide-down notification bar is a deal-breaker, too.

It has a slide down notification bar, center now. Its part of the 8.1 update.

The iphone 6 might be cool but it's lacking in hardware for it's camera and I'm a shutter bug. I have YouTube so I have google play already. Itunes for ios and xbox account for windows. Basically I can switch back and forth os each one has it's good and bad. I'm going to WP when the 1820 comes out. Keep using itunes and YouTube.

Iphone 6 is not even out yet and it is already lacking in hardware??? Iphone always has one of the best possible hardware if not the best.

I'm only saying this from it's rumors. I'm not trying to troll apple but my iphone 5S is lacking in some features. Nothing personal

my answer would be yes, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily because i'm tired of my current phone OS (not that harsh anyway) but simply because I had decided before buying my Galaxy S III that my next phone after it would be a Windows phone, and this is the year.

I use all the main ones so I'm good. I am curious to try out Ubuntu though.

Sticking with Windows Phone. The M8 looks enticing but I'm staying put! GIVE ME A 930!!

At the moment there really aren't any OS systems that compare to Androids versatility, Customization and features. I like some of the things windows has going for it but the tiles & horrible app store is a deal breaker.

I am not truly satisfied with Android but it is the only OS that is not tied to a single hardware maker. Technically Windows Phone is open but Nokia has a big advantage over the others due to its relationship with Microsoft. I really like BB10 but I found AT&T's support for it to be poor. So for now Android on my Sony Xperia Z Ultra is the best OS and hardware combination I can find. If I had to choose something else I guess it would be a Nokia 1520. But I really do not like those tiles.

Like the other above me, I will consider switching to a Lumia 1520 if Windows 8.1 updates pan out

It really depends on what happens in the next few months. I've been very disappointed in the direction of the latest Android flagships. They are oversized for the screen size they offer, and in the case of the M8, a step back in a few key areas. They simply do not meet my needs. I will be waiting to see what's coming from Apple and Motorola. If Apple presents a really compelling iPhone with a 4.7 inch screen, it may be a strong temptation. If Motorola presents a strong successor for the Moto X (my favourite handset of 2013 by a mile), then I would likely stay with Android. WIndows Phone is also a possibility, but gets next to no support from my carrier (Bell) that it's a tough path for me to take.

I think its not good to chase the flagships and just get what you want. If flagship is what you want...thats different. I am more than pleased with the Moto G. Except for storage. And because I am a big Moto fan...my next phone might be the Moto X if their next phone doesnt get my attention. I was thinking about getting a Bionic recently...lol. Since I am doing the pre paid thing...my next phone will be GSM. Much wider and better selection...and better service. I currently use Boost. WP, Nokia have an advantage for pre paid because the Lumias are really good, cheap phones to be on pre paid carriers. Still shocked Apple is offering the iPhone for damn near full price on pre paid carriers. Or the discount is still high. Shows they really only care about making a buck.

1. Already bought apps on Google Play. 2. Already have an iPad lying around. 3. Android (and just 4.1/4.2 at that) works well enough and suffices my needs. 4. I usually cycle around a 2.5 year cycle and I only just swapped to a limited edition XPERIA A (japanese ZR) a few months ago. And for auxillary sakes Windows Phone and BBX don't particularly appeal to me (though I by no means doubt I can live with them).

Yup for 1. If I had bought apps on Win Mo....it wouldnt have mattered since Win Mo is basically dead now. My Android apps....some ppl dont understand how much ecosystem plays a part. if I would to one day get an Apple or WP mobile device...I would have to: Make sure I dont get overlapping apps if I plan on using more than 1 OS. Try to balance my spending on each OS. But....sticking with Android....I can get a tablet...hope the developer made it so their app scales to tablets...and not have to invest much in tablet software. Even if it doesnt scale...I can still use it without much hassle. Google making it so that Android apps can scale to tablet use was a great thing.

I think this should have just said OS instead of smart phone OS. I know a lot of people that multiple OSes when using tablets and smartphones; Android phone iOS tablet for example. you wouldnt need to switch in that case. Also I think you should do a poll on that. When it comes to your smart phone and tablet do you have both the same or different. That would be an interesting poll.

Unfortunately, right now there is nothing that meets my needs /wants better than Android. But I'm always on the lookout.

Android is the only OS I will ever need. I've been using it since it's early days( 2.1 eclair to be exact). It's has gotten so much better and it continues to get better. I will never leave android.

Ugh, I don't know. I will see about Android on high-end device, because clearly Galaxy Ace 2 + TouchWiz is killing my experience with it. Sluggish, buggy even with firm. updates...oh my... If even that will dissapoint me, then clearly WP 8.1 as a phone and iOS for my tablet. No doubts then.

I don't want to change and I even don't want to change to another smartphone of the same OS. I didn't see anything so wonderful to thing about that.

Well, i have no intentions of switching from android, at leat not now. The customisation it offers is enough to make it look lively all the time. Having said that though, i wouldn't mind trying my hands on WP 8.1 on a high-end smartphone like the lumia 1020 or 1520.

One beauty of Android...I can put a WP or iOS launcher, home screen replacement on it and have it look like other phones. Even some that are not them like are nice. I have a few I paid for...and they look, function so different a few people thought I had a new phone.
