Did an electronics retailer just leak the price and launch date of the HTC One M9?

Big Apple electronics retailer B&H might have just given away the launch date and pricing for the HTC One M9. The price, listed as $649 sans contract, compares to the $649.99 price that appeared earlier this month on Best Buy's online site. The version of the handset being sold at B&H is the unlocked, 32GB model in silver/gold.

Now for the date that you are all wondering about, the HTC One M9 will apparently launch on March 25th. Not only is that the date when the phone will first be available according to B&H, it is also the one-year anniversary of the HTC One (M8)'s launch.

The HTC One M9 is equipped with a 5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The 64-bit octa-core 2GHz Snapdragon 810 CPU is under the hood along with 3GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of native storage. Those requiring additional memory can employ the 128GB capacity microSD slot. A 20MP camera is on back. The front-facing camera is the 4MP Ultrapixel snapper that was found on the back of the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7). A 2840mAh battery powers the phone, and Android 5.0 is pre-installed with Sense 7 running on top.

If this launch date is correct, it looks the HTC One M9 will beat the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge to consumers' pockets. The Samsung models, which reportedly collected a whopping 20 million orders so far, are both expected to be released next month.

Thanks for the tip!
