Deal: Samsung lets you buy the Galaxy S8 Active for $699.99 ($150 off)

Officially announced yesterday, the rugged Samsung Galaxy S8 Active can be pre-ordered in the US as of today - only on AT&T for now. The smartphone can be purchased both from AT&T, and from Samsung's website, and should start shipping later this week, on August 11.

If you're getting the S8 Active from Samsung, you can save $150, as the company is offering the handset for $699.99 (instead of AT&T's $849.99 outright price). Samsung also lets you buy the Galaxy S8 Active for $29.17 per month for 24 months ($700.08 in total) with Samsung Financing - in case you don't want to pay the full price upfront.

Later this year, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will probably be available unlocked, and maybe also on other carriers, as AT&T has exclusivity over the device only "for a limited time." If you want to find out more about the new handset, here's how the Galaxy S8 Active compares to the regular Galaxy S8 (and other relevant high-end smartphones).
