to all complaining about plastic...look around your house and see how much of your electronics are made from plastic...look at your $1000+ tv and see whats that made out yeah plastic..seriously if you are not interested in the phone then why are you even here? there must be a reason other than to moan about a phone that you not even going to purchase.

People who complain about plastic or polycarbonate still haven't said what their complaint is. The article points out that it is strong, reduces scratches, and allows for good reception. At what point will the people complaining about plastic actually describe what their complaint is or what material is better?

Only Samsung can cop a beating like this for putting out a phone with polycarbonate material, one of the best hardware specs, 720p (300+ dpi) AMOLED display, eye-detected screen timeout, popup video multitasking, NFC, wireless charging, external microSDXC, Gorilla Glass 2, 2100 mAh Li-ion battery, barometer, GLONASS, ..........

I think we were expecting a Galaxy S5, but instead we got an S3. Our expectations were unrealistically way too high.

Wow that's a Great news. But it won't change my decision. It still looksCheap and "plasticy". Can't think of paying a hefty price for a phone like this despite knowing this device have premium features. Samsung robbing people's money by using cheap materials in a high end device. Why didn't they use their Wave phones premium materials?

for those who had problem in some department of the phone, samsung has begun to explain it...first they explained about the pentile screen issue why they used it and its not a big issue though and now they explained about the plastic issue. One more to go and its the camera department..hope the retail version will have a improved or some more positive sides and it will ready to take on the iphone 5 and will be the BEST smartphone yet.
