Cingular to offer simultaneous video/chat within a year

Cingular Wireless plans to introduce a service that would allow customers to talk and share videos at the same time. The venture between AT&T Inc. and BellSouth Corp. hopes to boost its business beyond voice services by offering new services such as mobile video and picture swapping for cellphones. Most mobile phones alreay support applications, such as video players and recorders and Web surfing but viewing a video or surfing the Web while talking on the phone would be a totally new feature for mobile phones.

According to analysts the success of the service would depend on the way it's presented to customers and the price they'd have to pay for it.
