Canadian couple abroad had to destroy their Note 7 phones to get home, files class action lawsuit against Samsung

Alright, the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco is almost over. Samsung has recalled all of the units and issued a software update that limits active phones batteries to a 60% charge to incite people that haven't returned theirs yet to do so. On top of that, the company is posting apology after apology — a string, which culminated in a full-page remorseful letter to its customers, posted in some magazines yesterday.

Samsung should refund them. The phones would be destroy anyways. Wonder if they ask for this or went straight for a law suit?

So amany opportunists. I'm curious how a lawyer will prove Samsung purposely put people in harms way and knew there phone would have an issue. Lawyers are stupid. People are stupid. But good luck. I assume while on vacation you didn't hear about the recall? Why should Samsung pay for your loses? I understand you wre traveling. So I guess there is no phone store where you were? Did you ever call Samsung and say...hey we are on vacation. This recalled happened after we left (which we are to believe they wree on vacation for 3 months) and we didn't have a place to return our phone so we had to destroy them to get on the plane?
