Can the BlackBerry Classic make some noise in India?

The BlackBerry Classic has been unveiled in India, and BlackBerry is hoping that its old school handset brings them some market share in the country. Currently, Samsung is the leading smartphone brand in India with a quarter of the market. BlackBerry's share is too low to measure, according to research firm Counterpoint. The BlackBerry Classic is priced at the the equivalent of $518 in India, above the $449 price of the phone in the states...

If you load up some music on it and play it. Of course it can make noise. Or you can just play the ring tone....or make it vibrate. Lot's of ways for it to make noise.

True, but what market share is that? As many stories have stated, Chen is focused on the corporate sector of the market. How many corporations are there? If you have your privacy interrupted by thieves, who do you call? That's who Blackberry is focused on. If individuals want to have higher security, Blackberry isn't going to deny these people the opportunity to gain that security. I'm pretty sure the numbers will grow to more respectable numbers, soon.

I'm not denying that. Privacy is a big concern in this age. Right now Chen is focused on the corporate sector but sooner or later they're going to have to branch out. There's nothing wrong with diversifying your portfolio unless of course you're Samsung.

If you actually read up on what BlackBerry is doing and didn't just blindly troll them so much, you would already know that BlackBerry is ALREADY branched out. The automotive market comes to mind as a good example.

I might as well go over and argue with my front door.

I think Chen will let Blackberry 'naturally' branch out. At this stage, it would be financially wise to count any sales of hardware in the private sector as a bonus if you're focused on the corporate sector. He's lowered costs and has Blackberry in a much more sound position. He's not going to flood the market with phones that may not sell. It didn't work w/ the Z or Q 10's. Though they are really good phones. My Z is awesome and has held up great! My contract is almost up and contemplating on the Z30 or the Classic since I'm on Verizon. My wife loves her Z10 as well. We're even contemplating NOT replacing them. That may be odd thinking for some. Those some can get over it. :)

Z30 is an awesome handset. Even though I have a Passport and prefer the PKB, I still switch off between it and my Z30. Z10 is a good phone. The only letdown for me with the Z10 is the battery life. If you're going to make the switch when your contract is up, and if you prefer full-touch to the touch screen +PKB, then the Z30 is your best bet. It's like a Z10 on steroids (except for the screen ppi. Z10's screen is actually better than the Z30's). If you have no preference between PKB and VKB, then perhaps you should give the Classic a try. The old school toolbelt + PKB + BB10.3 is a sure winner.

What does WP market share have to do with this article? I can say that right now BlackBerry has more market share in enterprise than anyone, and that's a FACT that has more bearing on this article than what you posted. Stop trolling, Mxyzptlk.

13. Mxyzptlk unregistered

Why don't you read the f-ing comment next time before jumping on the insult train. I never said they had less enterprise market share which you continue to wear as a badge of pride.

Touched a nerve, have I? You sound testy! Lmao! Why don't YOU read my comment next time, and try and comprehend it. I never said you said anything about enterprise. I brought up enterprise and BlackBerry's market share in it to make a point. WP has nothing to do with this article. Stay on topic and stop trolling.

19. Mxyzptlk unregistered

Why don't you stop crying about every little Blackberry hate. It had a point then whether you like it or not. As for touching a nerve not even close. Maybe you should stop sticking your fingers in your ears and going "nanana Blackberry rules, enterprise is the only thing that matters nanana."

So you admit to hating BlackBerry. Glad you finally manned up and did so. And no, you're comment had no other point besides trolling. Maybe you should stop sticking your fingers in your ears and going "nanana, I only love Apple and troll everything BlackBerry because the consumer market is the only one that matters, nanana".

25. Mxyzptlk unregistered

Selective reading much? I never said anything about hating blackberry. You just need to get over yourself to be quite honest.

Then why would you say "stop crying about every little BlackBerry hate" if you don't hate BlackBerry? Lie much? You need to get over yourself and quit being such a troll.

32. Mxyzptlk unregistered

Get over it. If you think everything that says Blackberry isn't awesome is trolling then you have issues.

No. Just yours. Because your comments are usually trolling comments on BlackBerry articles.
