Tech retailer Best Buy is willing to part with $100 just to put the LG G3 in your pocket. For those who would rather pay the full retail price for LG's new flagship handset in monthly installments, and forgo a two-year contract, Best Buy will offer you a $100 Best Buy gift card. You need to be signed up with Sprint Easy Pay, Verizon Edge or AT&T Next...

Flagship phone with 3GB of ram for $100 on contract? Very true. If you have Sprint and have been balking at the Note 3's contract renewal price of $349 through Sprint or $249 everywhere else, then it's certainly going to tempt some people outside of the Samsung camp.

I actually went to Best Buy to upgrade my fiance's Evo LTE. While she compared both the S5 and the G3 and found herself choosing the S5, I really couldn't resist the G3 at $99. At $199 or more, I probably would have waited, $99 is just about impulse buy territory.

Not true. The unsubsidized price at Best Buy is consistently higher than the carriers for reasons I'm too lazy to get into on a Friday night. For example, the S5 runs $100-$150 higher. The G3 looks about $100 higher than elsewhere. So, as stated below, Best Buy is at best the same as the carriers.

As for $100 off on contract, this matches what Verizon sold the S5 for at launch and what Costco continues to sell it for today, With free accessories.

Don't let this "great" offer fool you, avarage retail price with carriers for the G3 is $599 which is $100 cheaper than Best Buy asking price, don't need this "special" since Best Buy should price match it anyway, contract price is a different story, $99 plus if you enrroleed your number for a $50 gift card when upgrading this year is $50, not bad at all.

Exactly, if you enrolled in BB's "Phone Freedom" promotion you get a $50 gift card to use towards the phone.

They refused me the $50 gift card because they said the phone is already on sale or some such nonsense. I may have to go back and see if I can get the gift card because it sounds like others were getting it left and right.
