Boston saying hello to Sprint's 4G WiMAX?
Although Sprint may have brought along a small tasting of 4G WiMAX to New York City for their HTC EVO 4G event a few nights ago, Boston looks to be the next major city to bask in the goodness of 4G. BGR is reporting that the connection is up and live in the great city of Boston – which in fact was on Sprint's road map for getting WiMAX before the end of the year. Although it may not have been officially confirmed by Sprint just yet, it'll prove to be great news for those consumers who will be excited over the HTC EVO 4G's launch. You never know what may happen between now and its release – we could very well see Sprint throw a surprise by giving the green lights to a handful of cities in time for the HTC EVO 4G's grand debut.

It's not even live. No one can get anything from it. They have to put it to 3G mode.

No they are not. It doesn't work. Like I said, they are having to switch the mode to 3G. And 4G? It's ready to go. The devices are what they are waiting for. 4G is already going up in other markets. The speeds are 8-13 Mbps while all I have seen on Sprint is 5.5-6.5.. AT&T beats that as it is!

Seriously Spring can release "4g" but in the end they are going to be out done by the 2 power houses.

Boston doesn't deserve 4G with having a hockey team being up in a series 3-0 and then in game 7 being up by 3 goals and losing the whole thing 4-3!
