BlackBerry users now can get bike directions and more with Google Maps 4.2
Google has updated the BlackBerry version of Maps to 4.2. The new build allows 'Berry packin' bike riders to find the right path from point "A" to point "B", or find trails that allow only bikes. Similar to the Android version of Google Maps that we told you about last month, trails for bikes only are in dark green, roads with bike lanes are light green and roads that you can ride on without a dedicated lane are in dashed green lines. Google also has improved the search and sharing function of the application. Want to share a certain location with someone? You can send them an e-mail or SMS. To install the latest version of Google Maps for your BlackBerry, take your browser to this link and install 4.2. Previous permission problems that made installation difficult for BlackBerry users have been dealt with.
