BlackBerry road map calls for the BlackBerry A10, the most powerful 'Berry yet

0. phoneArena posted on 10 Jul 2013, 19:31

Earlier this year, BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins alluded to a high end BlackBerry model for the holidays that made him excited; that smile might be now replaced with a nervous grin. The BlackBerry A10, code named the Aristo, was first brought to our attention last October. Now, it has popped up on a BlackBerry road map and could be CEO Thorsten Heins' last chance to show that BlackBerry can compete with the iOS/Android duopoly...

Mr Heins, I have some suggestion for your next iteration of phone. Just modified the Z10;

1. 5" hd/full hd, 2mm side bezel and 4mm top and bottom bezel.
2. Dual stereo front speakers.
3. Place the name and logo at the back, like "a".
4. Dual cpu of atleast 1.9ghz/quad and powerful gpu.
5. 13mp + camera with ois.
6. Compact size like xperia zl, 9. something mm thickness is still good.
7. Min. of 32 gig ROM, with sd expansion (sd slot of 64 capacity)
8. 2600 mah + replaceable battery .

I want you to compete until the very end, and I like the design of your z10 with these spec. I didn't xperience other phone xcept Samsung and hTc.

So. .. Goodluck Mr. Heins!!! ;-)

Why not diversify.... Try other OS.. Perhaps an Android or WM flavored BB A10?

With all that gestures and premium feel of a BB device. Its a sure hit!

OH... Then try optimizing your OS for Quad-Cores Mr. Heins... Dual-Cores have become mid-range phones... If you are going to use it in flagship phones, then at the least price it at par with mid-range phones of others...

Apparently, Heins is having this delusion that he can command an Apple-like premium pricing, when all they have left is their ''Blackberry'' name.

That would have been an option 2 years ago. I suspect the market has moved on.

having a new product with an old os is just a sign of how confused and troubled bb is....the product may be meant to be affordable for emerging markets, even so, people in these markets are aware of bb's os 10 and would expect a devise with the new os.. bb should just lower the price of that ugly looking q5.... bb please make something beautiful for a change....

So many people get obsessed with specs. Just because Android needs quad core CPU and all the RAM you can throw at it does not mean other platforms do. And this whole "thin" thing is getting ridiculous. I find thin phones much harder to hold securely. I tried playihg with my Galaxy Note again and the navigation of the OS seems so clunky now. And it drives me crazy when the buttons turn off and are very difficult to see. This is one area where the Z10 is a big improvement. Sadly it may be too late for BlackBerry in today's saturated smartphone market. But I do not look forward to being stuck with Android and WP.
