BlackBerry is still proving that leaving the smartphone hardware business and licensing it to others so they can concentrate on software and services was the right thing to do. Kudos to John Chen and BlackBerry for proving to the naysayers that BlackBerry isn’t dead. Keep up the good work.

Blackberry has the necessary software expertise to pull it off. I don’t thing someone like say , HTC would be able to repeat this feat.

I agree. It’s a shame though, because I’d love to see HTC come out of the nosedive they’ve been in for quite a while now.

HTC U12+ camera is actually pretty great and rated higher on most reviews than equivalent Samsung’s and Apple’s ! But I guess most non techie people like to make their purchasing decisions based on trends. Hence, so many phones with notches and missing 3.5mm jacks.

Unfortunately, most of the buying public, which is overwhelmingly non-techies, go off of what they see and hear about excessively, and that’s Apple and Samsung due to their huge marketing efforts (Exocet out of China, it’s Huawei, Xiaomi and others, but that’s no doubt due in part to excessive marketing in their home country and India, besides value for money devices).

I think this is a great move for BlackBerry. The health industry is a perfect place to offer security. This is a better move than resorting to patent bullying. Focus on INNOVATION instead of litigation.

They aren’t “patent bullying”, they are defending their IP, which is the right of every company. And no, “opinion pieces” without any evidence from a court of law does not qualify as “proof” of BlackBerry being a patent bully. They’ve been focusing on INNOVATION for a good while now, btw.

Technically speaking, your response is just as much an opinion piece as the websites you refer to so what makes you any different? Nothing, I didn't think so.

Technically speaking, yours is more so, as BlackBerry hasn't been proven guilty so what makes YOU so different? Nothig? Didn't think so.

That's your problem, you don't think. It's evident with how you respond. Btw, those opinion pieces you refer to come from credible sites. I guarantee you that your tune would be a different pitch if they were in agreement with blackberry.

That’s your problem, you’re always projecting. It’s evident in your responses. Btw, those opinion pieces are from tech sites, and none of them are credible when it comes to the law. I guarantee you that you would me singing a different tune if this were Essential and those same sites were saying that Essential are patent bullies.

No, my problem is that you can't come up with your own responses because you lack originality. No wonder you like Huawei phones. *badumtiss* That being said, your word is no more than an opinion, so what's your point?

Lol, no, your problem is that I use your responses against you and you can’t stand it. And you can’t talk about anyone lacking originality when your 10th account is so easy to spot, mxyzptlk. You do and say the exact same things you’ve said in your last nine accounts. Now how’s that for a *badumtiss*? Your word, as well as what’s said in those articles is what’s an opinion. What I said is based in facts. BlackBerry hasn’t been proven to be a patent bully.

Still trying to project your false narrative onto me I see. Keep at it. Almost a year later and it's still just as pathetic as it was day one. You lack originality and it shows in your ridiculous responses. Clearly I'm the superior here despite the fact that you try to call yourself a genius. Should have just stayed a geek.

Lol, you’ve been changing the facts to suit your false narrative since 2014 with your mxyzptlk account . Here we are, almost 4 years and your 10 accounts later, and you’re still doing the same thing. But do keep it up. If anything, you’re good for laugh seeing as how much of a joke you are. It’s YOU that lacks originality, as you’ve been regurgitating the same old comments since your mxyzptlk account. I’m clearly your better in every way, as you’re on your 10th account because of me. You couldn’t stay a mxyzptlk or a flash or a spigen or a wario 1 and wario 2 or any of your other accounts because I made you deactivate your primary one and got your next 8 accounts banned.

Lol, keep projecting and coming up with your wild conjectures. It's hilarious. Sad and pathetic, hilarious all the same. Still not true even almost a year later.

Lmao! Keep on lying and living in denial as if anyone believes what you’re saying. Deep down inside, it tears you up to know that your new accounts are that easy to spot. Sad, pathetic, and funny AF all at the same time, and pure facts that you hilariously deny even almost a year later.

BlackBerry is protecting its house. They did the INNOVATING you so covet and did it first and you can't handle the fact that they must be paid. Microsoft holds many more patents than BlackBerry and they get theirs. In fact, Microsoft gets richer with every Android handset sold. Why do you harp on BlackBerry other than your obvious animous for the company? Did someone b*tch-slap you with a BlackBerry?

I don't have animosity for them. I just dislike them being patent sharks. Protecting your house isn't the same as being patent bullies, which is what BlackBerry is doing. Didn't you call out Apple for trying to sue for something that was obviously generic? Well the same thing applies here. Blackberry trying to go after social media platforms with generic patents that could literally apply to anything is stifling innovation. You seem like a more intelligent person than the wannabe genius, so even you can probably see that blackberry going after Facebook is just bizarre.

Lol, of course you have animosity towards them. If you didn’t, you wouldn’t be on your 10th account trolling them like you did your last nine accounts. BlackBerry is defending their IP, a fact you continue to happily remain in denial about. But I expect no less from someone that believes he fooling anyone into believing he’s not really mxyzptlk.

Keep projecting. I guess you're still under the impression that it will become true if you continue to repeat it. It won't.

Keep lying. I guess you’re under the impression that if you say a lie often enough, it turns from fiction to fact. Newsflah: It won’t.
