Best new Android and iPhone apps (early May, 2017)

Hey, guys, it's that time again — a look at the most interesting new apps for Android and iOS. This week's pickings are pretty slim — we hope that gets better next time around — but we still managed to fish out a bunch of apps worth testing.

For iOS, we've got a fun new app that puts your face in famous movies' scenes, and an awesome new app that transforms your iTunes playlist into a single song, while on Android, we have a cool app that helps students with their homework, an awesome note-taker that can stay docked in your notifications area, and some more. Check them all out below!

Socratic: This is so wrong. This is very similar to pirating the game and asking people to pay for it if they liked it. There will be very few people who would pay for it.

Every week now there is at least a dozen new VR apps for Android. Including specific Gear VR and Daydream VR apps. But we never see any of those apps listed anywhere on iPhonearena.
