Veteran's Day military discounts on phones and unlimited data plans

There's not a single US carrier out there - from Sprint, through T-Mobile and AT&T, to Verizon - that doesn't offer great data plan or phone discounts for veterans, active duty personnel, or their kids and spouses now.

As it should be, since this is a day for honoring military veterans, and, in general, folks who have served in the United States Armed Forces, as well as their families. Among the barrage of free food and discount offerings on Veteran's Day, it's a great time to sign up for a great cell phone service plan, or get an exclusive deal on a phone.

What you'd need is a valid piece of identification indicating you are a military vet, of course, or, alternatively, a .mil email address for services. Here's what plans and phone discounts Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile have on offer this fine, cold, Veteran's Day 2019.

AT&T military discounts

America's second-largest carrier offers 25% discount on plans, which makes its new unlimited Starter an enticing value at just $27 per month for a line. In addition, you can get phones like the 64GB iPhone 8 for free with the plan, doled out in bill credits towards the initial purchase.

Verizon military discounts

Verizon is a bit behind the percentage discount wars, chiming in with cold hard dollar numbers per unlimited account, or a 15% off its other plans. That brings the monthly price of its own Starter unlimited plan to $30/line, but it does offer the best coverage in the US, plus it throws in a whole year of Amazon Prime ($119.99 value) for free, so that you can watch Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan "on us."

The fill military deal kit for Verizon's Start Unlimited, Play More Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Above Unlimited and/or Just Kids data plans goes like this:

  • For 1 phone - $10 discount per account
  • For 2 – 3 phones - $25 discount per account
  • For 4 phones or more - $20 discount per account

Sprint military discounts

With its Unlimited Military Plan offer, Sprint is the top dog when it comes to plan pricing, as usual, as you can get a family plan for just $22.50/line for unlimited data. The perks are the same is in its Basic package, or half a gig of hotspot data, a Hulu subscription, and 5GB of LTE data when traveling to Mexico or Canada.

The real perks, however, are into Sprint's Premium plan that can be had at just $140 for a family of four when you bring them to Sprint, and includes reams of untrotled data, as well as Amazon Prime subscription, and 100GB of hotspot allotment at full speed.

T-Mobile military discounts

T-Mobile went and matched Sprint's unlimited data plan discounts for vets and active military on both its Magenta and Magenta Plus plans, pricing them at just $100 and $140 per month, respectively, for a family of four. The Magenta plan includes free standard Netflix subscription and 3GB of hotspot data at LTE speeds, while the Plus adds 20GB of hotspot data to the mix.
