But believe it or not, you can save even more money at Best Buy on two specific variants if you meet a certain requirement. Namely, you'll have to be a My Best Buy member to qualify for these very special offers set to expire on October 27. On the bright side, you don't need to pay anything or jump through any hoops to join the retailer's loyalty-rewarding program.
After you become a member, you'll be able to easily shave $400 and $500 off the list prices of Surface Pro 6 models with a 256GB solid state drive and 8 gigs of memory, as well as an Intel Core i5 and i7 processor respectively in physical stores, online, or by using the official Best Buy mobile app.
The Core i5-powered variant is typically priced at $1,199, but you can currently get it in exchange for $899 from Microsoft and as little as $799 at Best Buy. Meanwhile, if you're looking for a true high-end laptop replacement, the Intel Core i7 configuration will set you back $999 when purchased from Best Buy, compared to Microsoft's $1,099 charge at the time of this writing and the tablet's $1,499 recommended price last year.
Before pulling the trigger, you might want to keep in mind these are tablet-only deals we're talking about here, so if you do plan on using the Surface Pro 6 as a full-fledged computing machine, you'll have to separately buy the optional Type Cover keyboard and Surface Pen.
