B&H discounts the Huawei P30 and P30 Lite
You might remember that last month New York-based B&H took pre-orders for the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. As you are undoubtedly aware, Huawei is considered a national security threat in the states, which means that its phones are not welcome in the country and can't be bought from a major U.S. carrier. So B&H took reservations on the latest and greatest from Huawei, selling the Latin American variant of the devices. They include support for GSM networks like those used by T-Mobile and AT&T and come with a limited one-year seller warranty.

While B&H has kept its price of $899.99 for the P30 Pro (the retailer is out of stock until the end of this month), the retailer has reduced pricing for the unlocked P30 and P30 Lite. Spotted first by Android Police, the discount on the P30 amounts to $30 and takes the price down to $569.99. Yes, that is a small 5% discount but the price does include free shipping and a SIM card for Mint Mobile. The latter is good for three months of unlimited talk, text and 8GB of 4G LTE data each month. Color options include Aurora, Black, and Crystal.

The Huawei P30 features a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340 resolution for a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The homegrown Kirin 980 SoC is under the hood along with 6GB of memory and 128GB of expandable storage. There are three cameras on the back (40MP primary + 8MP with 3x optical zoom + 16MP ultra-wide-angle) and a 32MP selfie snapper in front. Keeping the lights on is a 3650mAh battery, and Android 9 Pie (along with Huawei's own EMUI) is pre-installed.

The much less heralded Huawei P30 Lite is $40 off at $279.99, a 12.5% discount. Available in Midnight Black, Peacock Blue, and Pearl White, the phone also ships for free and includes the aforementioned Mint Mobile SIM card. The Lite variant carries a 6.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2312 as is powered by the Kirin 710 chipset. This model is equipped with 4GB of memory and expandable 128GB of storage. On the back are a 24MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing selfie snapper weighs in at 32MP and sports a 3340mAh battery. Android 9 Pie is pre-installed.
