AvantGo shutting down its service for good
For a period of time before data services became widespread, AvantGo has been providing mobile users offline access to web sites. During the early days before smart phones hit the scene, one of the ways to preview sites on the go was to use AvantGo. Good times don't last forever with RSS readers taking away from their service. It was widely available on a variety of platforms such as Windows Mobile, Symbian, RIM operating systems, and the Palm OS. Checking out their site will display that syncing web content with AvantGo will desist on June 29.
