Leaked Asus ZenFone 6 prototypes hint at display holes and triple-camera setups

Kicking things off with perhaps the most interesting prototype of all (which sits alongside a ZenFone 5Z), it confirms that Samsung is not the only company working on the idea of display holes – Asus has placed a small hole in the top-left corner of the display that is home to the front-facing camera. This is accompanied by very slim top and side bezels and a slightly thicker chin down below. The smartphone also boasts a vertical camera setup on the rear and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As these three devices are simply prototypes, there’s no guarantee any of them will be released. However, it’s certainly exciting to see other companies working on the display hole idea. Considering the relatively low price of ZenFone devices, however, the devices that are eventually released will likely resemble the final prototype rather than the first.
