Asus has finally brought one of the latest Zenfone 5 devices to the U.S. – say hello to the Zenfone 5Q!

In the box:
• Asus Zenfone 5Q
• Micro-USB cable and wall adapter
• Clear silicone case
• Asus headphones and spare earbuds
• Warranty and manuals

Back in February, Asus announced the Zenfone 5, Zenfone 5Z, and Zenfone 5Q. While the Zenfone 5Z is the highest-end of the three, packing serious hardware like Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, the 5Q and 5Z aim more squarely at the mid-to-upper-mid-range market. Being the first to the U.S. market, the $299 Zenfone 5Q is the only one with a U.S. price tag so far.

Stylistically, the 5Q is also set apart from its sibling by the absence of a notched display. Sporting a 6-inch, HD+ (1080 x 2160) display, the Zenfone 5Q has slim bezels, but not quite as diminutive as on its siblings. Still, this Zenfone carries on a refined look with its glass back and classy color selection of either red, white, or blue.

Packing a Snapdragon 630 with 4GB RAM and 64 GB’s of storage, the Zenfone 5Q runs on ZenUI 5.0 built on Android Oreo 8.0. This should be a well-suited pairing for solid speed and performance, but the real focus for Asus appears to be the cameras.

Stacked with four total cameras – two in the front and two in the back – the Zenfone 5Q pairs 8 MP wide-angle lenses with a 16 MP regular in back and a 20 MP sensor in front. Suffice it to say, your selfie game should be on point with this setup.

Selling for $299, the Zenfone 5Q will have its fair share of competitors, but with suave looks, stacked cameras, and solid internals, we hope our review will prove the 5Q a worthy competitor.
