This happens every phone launch / announcement, a million compare articles a million random interviews, tons of leaks, polls etc.

They do this for every major release. Did you not see the flood of Note 4 articles last week. Get over it or go to another site.

I dont believe this report, sapphire was the only so called innovation which was bragged as amazing in ip6 and there is nothing else in apple's sleeves to brag about in ip6... if cook didnt mentioned in the presentation then no sapphire otherwise they might have given an extra one hour presentation about special iSapphire which will be better than normal saphhire(how? nobody knows but it will be better)

It has to be Gorilla Glass, I mean PapaSmurf even said so.

You again. They didn't mention Sapphire Glass in their keynote, so what's left to wonder?

Man, iFan dreams never die apparently, maybe next year has apparently turned into maybe next week. They didn't mention sapphire at all in their keynote, I am pretty sure some random phone called people would not know better.

They mentioned ion infused hardening. The sapphire glass was only used on watch

Fancy wording for gorilla glass most likely.

this is most likely a gorilla glass with some anti scratch coating and a fancy name.

But it should be? All the leaks (dunno if reliable though) show that the front panel was made of sapphire glass.

The leaks said should be, not was ,and Tim Cook wouldn't have left out such an important feature if it was there

it's just like samsung advertisement. show features one at time is better ads strategy rather show all in one go.

This wasn't an ad, it was an unveiling, and at an unveiling you put out the most important, best features. If it had sapphire, that would have been plastered all over the video screen.

leaks are not all real buddy, or i would have a hoverboard and be in flying car

The note 3 is nearly a year old and it is still a top shelf phone that is not slouch against new flagships.

This is ridiculous and reaching. Keynote would emphasize the crap out of sapphire display, videos, demonstrations, statistics, belly dancers, bear on a bicycle, etc, etc. Oh but looky two low level phone operator salesmen and their supervisors at the end and second to the end of the chain apparently know secrets and hidden information. Poor excuses for articles, phonearena.

Guys, help me out here. I've never owned an iPhone, only Android devices. The only Apple devices I own are a 15 inch MacBook Pro Retina and an iPad Mini. (Check my devices page in my profile). I'm am not impartial towards one brand or the other. But, I love Android phones and my phone portfolio is vast. I had a Note 2 and have a Note 3 right now, however I am thinking of keeping my 3 and grabbing the 128gb 6 Plus and just picking up the Note 5 next year. I figure it'd be a decent "break" from Android for a year until the Note 5 is released next year. Thoughts? Don't be shy.

The Note 3 is still a very powerful device so it should hold nicely for another year so i think you should get the Iphone. I was torn between the z3,Note 4 and the iphone but i'm a bit dissapointed in the iphones camera so its going to feel like a downgrade from my z1 and i'm very dissapointed the "premium" build quality (glued parts) that Sony xperias offer so i'm going with the note. But the iphone is not a bad choice either.. and upgrading from the note 3 isnt that big of a diffrence so go with the iphone.

plz give him a good advice atleast.... ProblemSolver15, please dont waste your money on iphone bcoz if you do the cost and benefit analysis then iphone is very highly priced as compared to the benefits it offer.... I twice wasted my money on iphone and it hurt me when someone waste their money on iphone... there are plenty of options out there, visit the markets and analyze by yourself physically which phone is good in a good price and which design is appealing your taste, but plz no iphone

I would prefer gorilla 3 + 3gb of ram , I mean why do we need an expensive glass for , give me more than 1gb of ram .

27. Shatter

Posts: 2036; Member since: May 29, 2013

With a 64bit OS it makes no sense to use more than 1GB of ram = apple logic. If they wanted to impress spec people they would of put a 1440p display on the 5.5", a huge battery, 2.5-3ghz quad core, 4GB of ram, etc. But its applez that won't happen for 4-5 for iPhone while android will get it next year.

The Apple phone reps lied (who'd a thunk it?). Page down throughhttps://www.apple.com/iphone-6/display/ and the "inside view" labels the top layer as "glass".
