Actually no. S6 is sharper than m9 even despite the penTile. 730 has the old type of penTile which had pretty bad effects due to sharing pixels. Now due to the diamond pixels a 500 PPI PenTile looks as sharp as about 460-470 PPI display. Put those next to next or see the microscopic images. In fact, while displaying white on black or vice versa, a penTile can be sharper than a RGB due to it employing subpixel rendering which LCD panels don't typically use. I have used an S3 and boy was it horrible on 306 PPI. then s4 changed that. It looked almost as sharp as other 1080p displays due to the new matrix. About the rest of your comment, I can relate to it. But xperia phone reviews also say them as premium. You should see the first impressions of Z5. They are hugely positive. Edit: just checked that 730/735 use the same display panel and it's diamond matrix. I have to agree with you on that now.

Thanks for replying and yes lumia 730 does use diamond pentie display so the part about it being a pixelated display is still beyond my understanding when Iphones are awesome at the same number of pixels.

But the note 5 has better colour accuracy with the screen, better photography with the camera and a longer lasting battery life. I think you'll find the only device that you often give blind praise without deserving it on this site is the iphone

This is the exact type of comments I was arguing against. How did you figure out the Galaxy Note 5 has better photography when you have not even seen real-world pictures from the iPhone 6s yet?! I think the only thing this type of comments prove is willingness to troll with no attempt to do any critical thinking.

This is exactly how I feel about the new Nexus (Nexii ?) devices. People are already making judgements based on AutoCAD leaks, without seeing/holding the actual device in person.

yup critical thing u ask??? huh tell me why i should pay for a 750p display when i get a 2k Samoled display , well iphone is real good at camera but i need high res images which they are providing now after much criticization. and you guys at PA bash other oem if their phone doesnt look differrnt from thier predessors but i dont see any dynamic change in iphone design since iphone 5 and when you people used to criticize sony for 1080p by saying" only 1080p " and now you say 750p is sharp why need 1080p now thats bias right??? PA and all other tech website praise apple for what they are amd never ask more that is also one of major reasons for apple being lazy

I will sell you a 4k display - only the display - for the same money you would have paid an iPhone; try taking phone calls, browsing the web and accessing the cloud with that 8k display. A phone in not the sum of it's component parts - a gazillion cores, gigs of ram, ppi, storage - but an ansamble of components, built and working together, powered by good software, that allows the user to do his stuff faster, better, easyer, cheaper, safer etc.

#Leo- mc i mentioned only the 2k display but s6 is way bettet than iphone in most aspects if not all and later part of my post was directed to victor.h but that fellow seems to be to busy to answer but shill like you popped up to reply without even reading my whole post. All i wanna say is Apple is taking wrong advantage of its fan base Im waiting for the day when the same fanbase will start dissing apple for being so ....applishhh but i dont think that day is gonna come soon

You're not paying extensively for the display. Buy what you want, these guys provide opinions and you guys provide absolutely zero insight in these comments, they're literal cancer. The iPhone is the most used phone by photographers for a reason. Did you even read the article where he said it's not about the size of the photo, it's about the detail inside of the photo? What good is a large photo when it looks like a piece of crap (or a piss-stained yellow like the S6 has in its photos because Samsung still can't get white balance right.) There is a huge difference between the iPhone 5 and 6 especially in terms of design, I can't even wrap myself around how insane a statement like that is. If you've paid any attention to Apple, they make a design change and add additional features with the "s" cycle. But as someone that never used an iPhone, I wouldn't expect you to understand that. Nor would I expect you to comprehend any valid argument the author is making towards all the biased crap that continues to be spewed on this website by people who know nothing about smartphones.

well ive used iphone 4s it was a great phone but ios sucks atleast for me after that iphone5 was somewhat managable device but clearly they crossed limits of my patience with ip6 although ive got frnds with iphone but do you see my point of asking why apple provided 12 mp camera now and not 2 or 3 yrs back na you cant cuz you cuntz are busy sucking apples a**

The iPhone 6 is one of the best devices I've ever used next to the original Moto-X. You elaborate on these phones as if you used them extensively and you make a remark "ip6 they crossed the limits of my patience." If you didn't own nor use the phones, what exactly are they crossing the limits with your patience of? Why are you even making any commentary if they've already crossed your limits? I'm going to have to say the only reason Apple updated the camera was so that people could get better detail in crops, that's it. In every single camera comparison between the S6, G4, and iPhone 6, it gets beat in cropped detail every single time. However, take any picture up against a white background or for comparison's sake, take with all phones and a DSLR, you'll see the iPhone wins every time with white balance and color accuracy. Not sure what argument you're trying to make about the iPhone 6, it brought a lot of good things to the table, like insanely quick focusing and shutter speed. It's literally the most effortless camera there is. From here on out, I'm not going to make any more assumptions at you because anyone can make something up on the internet as a retort. I'm just merely going to inform you because you are misinformed, and you're really upset about someone else's opinion about a phone.

Actually, Cook even said during the keynote, that they didnt want to move to higher pixels until they got all the aspects right. You can take it as hooplah gibberish talk, but the 8mp camera on the iPhone is so much better than 8mp camera on any android... You should know by now that Apple tries to work every kink out before releasing something new to the iPhone - and 90% of the new features or specs show it, and show it well (I say 90% because there are times where the 128gb memory versions had problems, and apple maps was rushed for areas outside the US, and there are a few powerbutton problems with iPhone 5, that apple extended warranty for to get repaired). The thing is, some think they get value from what was put into the phone, I find value in what I get out of it... Call me a sheep, blind, w/e... I buy what works for me...

So if you haven't owned an iphone you don't know anything about smartphones? Talking about being biased.....And I can tell you one thing why a lot of people in the design industri (including photographers) they think they are riding the hype train........I don't think a photographer gives a s**t about the colors if it is close. AND the S6 is more perfect than the iphone 6 in almost all aspects....So please take your pathetic "I have an iPhone, so I'm better than all other people" attitude and stfu!!!!!!

Except I don't have an iPhone, I have the LG G4. I've had the G4, the S6, and the iPhone 6. I'm not denying the S6 has a great camera, just pointing out the fact that it still lacks in color accuracy and white balance when compared to the iPhone 6. And as I reiterated in a later post in this article's comments, each phone is going to go back and forth with superior cameras; that's the beauty of competition. I also never said anything about people only knowing anything about smartphones because they don't have an iPhone. I said that the people commenting on these articles (such as yourself) do not know what it takes for a smartphone to operate smooth, efficient, nor do they understand optimization. You guys only understand specsheets, and you call Apple using a dual core "outdated" or 2 GB of RAM "pathetic" despite the fact iOS being a lot lighter, requiring less resources, and it being incredibly optimized to work with the hardware it runs off of. I'd say it's quite an engineering accomplishment to be up there with all the octacore phones in benchmarks with a dual core, wouldn't you? Probably not, because you don't understand, and you don't want to. That's why you and everyone else this article is calling out are the textbook definition of narrow-minded fanboys. As for your comment about photographers not giving a crap if the colors are close...that's how to tell someone commenting on a camera ISN'T a photographer 101. If you are any bit professional or have any background in photography you DO care about the colors, and you most certainly know that megapixels are the least important metric in measuring a camera's ability. I can understand someone not liking a phone or not liking Apple as a company, that's understandable. But you guys are legitimately angry that someone else likes a product or buys a product with their money. Why? I don't get it. You didn't spend the money on the product. The product being successful stimulates competition. It keeps manufacturers honest, it keeps innovation coming, and it makes each smartphone come out with something new that each and every company/manufacturer borrow from each other. Not sure if it's because you people are from other countries where you do not understand business in a free market economy or what.

Bla Bla yada yada Whatever, I love Apple, Apple is my life, I confess I am iSnake and I am proud of it, I enjoy camping at the Cupertino Apple store, sleeping in a tent with my 27 inch iMac 5k retina, sleeping next to a 27 inches, a great life experience that Apple manage to offer. It's so great it's worth to have this life-changing camp every years. My life changed even more precious, that I able to enjoy charging my iPhone everyday at veriety types of walls, from various types of buildings, best field trip that Apple delivered :) I bet 99% of Apple bashers never owns one, they're just sour graping to see us able to afford 128GB devices, as well as 27 inches devices. There's no reasons to bash because we are born to be afford on everything with apple logo at the back, and you all born to be a random low class Android users, no need to hate, no need to jealous, no need to troll, you all just get a life OK??!! :)

Kudos to You, Sir, for trying to speak to troll's minds here on PA. Really surprise why a stupid piece of technology, metal, just regular phone can make people bash and insult each other, thanks to your article my faith in community here has been restored a bit.

Seriously? Look at fans of car brands, gridiron football teams, soccer (football teams), GPU manufacturers, processor manufacturers. The us vs them mentality goes back a long ways. Smartphone manufacturer fans aren't the first ones. With that point made, we don't own iProducts in our house. I'm not going to give my kids a dumbed down OS that caters to the lowest possible computer illiterate denominator. My children will know what a file system is, and they will know what side loading apps is. I don't want my kids growing up to be iTards.

That's awesome! Please keep us updated with your kids progress. Surely they will always be top of their class because of your phone OS of choice. When they graduate college with high marks, you will say to yourself, "Thank you Andrdoid for making my kids smarter!".

112. AlikMalix unregistered

Can you explain, oh wise one, what you need a file system access to on a phone? Can you also explain why you think you cant have a file manager on iOS - there are apps to do that predating Android public release. Side loading apps is not something you should trust children to do - all my iOS share icloud so if lets say your family members installs something that looks like a free version of a game but instead it's a phishing app - how long do you think before you're arguing with your kids why there are Google Play charges in the $100's or worse $1000's? The only reason I'd sideload apps is VPN... the rest is basically teaching your kids that it's ok to steal because that's really the only reason you want to sideload, right? to save 0.99 cents. Your kids wont be iTards or any kind of "Tards" if you give them the right tools to growing up - shoving an iPhone or android phone and let them go crazy is the worst thing you can do - in about 2 months you'll fight them to lift their head for one minute to say "hi" to you. good trolling... anyway if you didn't know I would say you are in the wrong webpage kid

ok first off KID you need to realize that the reason people hate i phones is cause they are like air jordans you pay for the name not the quality thats why it cost $200 to make an iphone 6 yet they sell for $600+http://time.com/3426087/apple-iphone-6-cost/ and for the reasoning behind why people love android is for the customizations, the the way better hardware and option to choose different things instead of being forced one choice, plus the open source allows you to mod it as you see fit so quit being so blind and stupid like a CHILD

so by be wanting the freedom to modify the source code of an os to fit my wants/needs im a teenager? so whats your opinion on cyanogenmod, silent circle, samsung and tizen, sailfish os are all those corporations that make millions if not billions teenagers? im calling him a KID because only KIDS spend money on things cause they blindly want them for no other reason but because their friends have them

114. AlikMalix unregistered

I got a porsche fun car with wheels so wide that I got a widebody and an Audi with V-8 FSI quattro. I dont need these things.. I guess i'm a KID because I want something that other people have. I'm calling you a biased troll that cannot see past his own needs. Some people tried Android and switched to iOS. You really think that nearly a billion iOS devices sold and multiplying each year while android manufacturers barely holding on is only because people dont think and just buy for "NO OTHER REASON but because their friends have em"... Shut up and stop embarrassing your self.. I try Android every 2 years and one time the damn thing cost me my client when the thing ate thru 20% of battery several times in a month just laying there with screen off.. missing calls and appointments... That would never happen on an iPhone. What about current Note4's that are only a year old slowing down in performance: longer load times, more jitters, little delays... I got a 2 year old iPhone 5s that opens files faster than Note 4, switches between apps faster than Note 4, and has no missing polygons in games like RR3 unlike Note 4. There's an inherent problem with Android and that it doesnt stay fluid after 6-8 months. The performance deteriorates (not so much on latest androids, but anything over a year old - it doesnt act the same quick and snappy)... I'm not saying Android is bad, just that there are problems too, and for hundreds of millions, Android problems outweigh Apple's problems... that's all i'm saying...
