What a disgrace. What has Apple done in 2012 that makes them deserve this? This award should have gone to Google. Let's see what has been released in 2012...

- iPhone 5
- iPad mini
- iPad 3 and iPad 4
- Refreshed Macs, MacBooks, iPods, and Apple TVs
- iOS 6 and Mountain Lion

- Several top phones and tablets with other manufacturers
- Google Fiber
- Google Glass
- Google Now and the Knowledge Graph

Google Fiber and Google Glass alone out-innovate any product or service Apple has released in the past 3 years at least.

List of inventions NOT made by Apple - (and actual inventor)
1. Graphical User Interface - Xerox

2. mp3 player, iPod - ( Diamond Rio )(http://inventors.about.com/od/mstartinventions/a/MPThree.htm )

3. tablet - ( Knight Ridder + many others )

4, Siri - http://inventors.about.com/od/sstartinventions/a/Siri.htm

5. cell phone -http://theos.in/technology/invented-mobile-phone-history/

6. smartphone - IBMhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smartphone

7. A5, A6 Chips - ARM

I will give them credit for the iPad as the first commercially successful tablet.
But not as the inventor.

I could go on but that's enough...

Did Apple really invent anything: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFeC25BM9E0

Apple fans should get an education! They are clueless. They believe what is told to them and not able to find out for themselves.

the envy from the Android community is comical. this level of hatred from fandroids is criminal. i'm willing to bet my commission check there is not one Apple fan that has left a comment on this article. 130+ comments from people who don't even use Apple products. its sad that so many Android fans have to show up to an Apple article to bash...sorry Android xD, you fell short, yet again LOL. Apple, keep it gangsta.

''Apple, keep it gangsta''

This shows your level of maturity, if you had just said there's seems more hate from android users recently I could see your point but not with apple as they deserve the hate at this point. Besides can you really sit there an say apple have innovated in the last say 2 years......course you can't

And finally apple is a company, android isn't so you sat android fell short is stupid

i'm sorry everyone can't be as professional as you...no humor allowed i see. if my maturity level is based off a statement meant in humor it actually shows your maturity level that you can't differentiate it. i get it, everyone has to be right on these posts but as you try to demean me for a statement you actually demonstrate, clearly, a lower level of maturity. funny how that works huh?

moving on...i said what i said b/c innovative is always in the eye of the beholder. Android fans sum up Apple in just an iPhone or an iPad when there is a whole world of products out there. For instance, the graphic designer generally prefers an Apple computer to PC because software like Adobe Creative Suite runs smoother on their platform. then you have the ecosystem that is offered between diff. Apple options. is it the best? it depends on the individual. now you mentioned what has Apple innovated in the last 2 years...how about the tablet. yea Windows had those archaic business-oriented tablet PC's that were sluggish & lacked a wow factor b/c it was targeted to a very small group of users. wasn't til iPad came a long that the masses were turned on to the every day functions of a tablet. it was a totally different approach (isn't that considered innovation?). then, oh, here comes an Android tablet...go figure. now b/c you add more stuff under the hood doesn't mean that you still didn't borrow an idea (believe it or not). let's not pretend that Android hasn't taken a page from Apple hence Play Music Store. all technology is recycled homie. Apple borrowed the notification panel & the cloud-based services from Android but you can't totally say that b/c services like Outlook email have been cloud-based for years. if anyone has been truly innovative its Windows Phone. the first phone to offer a 4.3" screen. how many Androids have carried a 4.3" screen? exactly... being able to uninstall apps from the "apps" screen is also another borrowed technology from iPhone present on Android. seems like as far as innovation goes you are talking about iPhone & iPad but what happened to "And finally apple is a company" as you tried to call me out but yet your statements are referring to only their mobile devices. i thought we were talking about the company of Apple? Apple isn't a pure innovator, but neither is Android (excuse me, Google).

No mate what you were doing was been an intentional apple cheerleader and there was no humor in it so get over yourself.

Innovation is not in the eye of the beholder makes no sense basically your saying any company can claim they innovate and according to you there right. False innovation can be seen clearly by all and its clear apple hasn't done anything innovation for yeas. The iPad was evolution and marketing not innovation. But you back up the how people give apple more credit then they deserve for products of today.

The rest of your comment is classic defensive fan boy, you do understand I'm not saying android is innovative right......you just jumped to it as its default setting for fan boys.......precious os attacked automatically go at its competitor.

And lastly, apple been marketing genius's don't make them innovative.

More like the contempt of the Android community that Apple is trying to destroy !!! No envy and no praise from me. The only thing criminal is Apple's monopolistic tendencies.
Except you, the lone Apple fan of course. If we did use Apple products we would know what we are talking about? I chose not to buy any. I have tried them.
Hackintosh loaded on my Windows PC, friend's iPhones...
Same can be said for you using Android,

Apple fans don't know, don't read, don't think, don't try, don't care. They just follow. And do what SJ told them.

If you can prove Apple is the most innovative company I would like to see you prove it and not just spew off. Just tell us about the wonderful inventions they have made. Easy enough if you have used all those wonderful products as you have implied?

dude chill out...don't be a cheerleader. to categorize everyone who uses Apple as you do, shows that you're not even equipped w/an open mind. i shouldn't have to prove anything to you...b/c at the end of day, my life still goes on & i will continue to like what i like. I don't only like Apple...i like em' all. i even still like Blackberry. you want proof...consult Google.com. why should i have to go out & get information for you? you're a big boy aren't you? do your own research. i'm not the Apple messiah here to convert people to Apple...you're free to like what you like, but don't chastise me b/c i don't share your same opinions. that's my only beef w/the Android community is that if you don't like what they do...you're a follower. don't say you like choices, but attack someone who's choice is diff. from yours. i pick w/Android fans b/c of their extreme hatred for anything Apple (which i completely don't get. its almost as if you're on some kinda payroll from Google)..but its only harmless fun b/c really its none of my business what you like & vice versa.

The research by stealing information for their customer's device. Iphones, IPad, and Ipod users dont know that Apple collects data daily from their devices. This is how they do the research.

Rumor out of China has it that Apple will release an iPhone 5S. A bug fix release !!
And so soon after the iPhone 5 release indicates this is a bug fix release.
Oh they will probably hide that fact by adding some feature.

BALLLZZSHIIITS! APPLE IS NOT THE MOST Innovating company! Google is! Nexus 4 has lockscreen widgets and lot more functions! Every new android version has new features.. unlike iOS- minor changers. meh.
