Apple patents stylus that will write on all surfaces and transmits images to digital screens

Apple has received a patent for a new stylus or smart pen that will take hand-written texts and drawings and display them on the screen of a device like a smartphone or tablet. This is an accessory that could come in handy in a classroom setting. If a teacher were to use the stylus on a whiteboard in a classroom, an accurate reproduction of the notes could be transmitted to students' tablets...

Ya he wasn't happy with that since as always Samsung or others did it first. But in his back he knew Apple would patent it first and then sue Samsung back on. What a joke Apple and Jobs are!!

Can we please quit with this damn Samsung crap. My 1999 Palm Pilot had a stylus so please do not put Samsung into a sentence of first to bring to market. Thank You.

"Who would want Android?" A vast sweeping majority of the world, going by sales numbers.

So many manufacturers before Samsung had stylus earlier. Ex. Palm, HTC Windows mobiles, etc. Stylus is not invented by Samsung.

I think this is awesome. I would love a versatile writing device like that. I own a Surface 3 pro and love the stylus, but it could definitely improve. The ability to write and record while on any surface would be very nice. Devices up until now that attempt to do this just haven't cut it. Having to use special paper, the pen being the size of a football, and constantly turning the pen on and off are just a few of the issues that I am sure Apple will iron out. Always amazes me on the level of hate Apple gets when they are constantly building and improving on ideas that could have very well faded away and Apple turning those ideas into products worthy of mass consumption.

apple is using an old style pen patent for architects and blueprint drawings in cad design software but also using microsofts ideas here the pen has already been done i will try to find the wed page and link it for you guys to check it out, the only problem it never took off was the software needed to translate in the pen when you write the pen does not know when the page ends the software automatically moves the word to the next line the tech did not exist that long ago so it would have been a really big pen new tech allows for smaller pen. this is one of themhttp://www.amazon.com/Logitech-IO2-Digital-Pen-965154-0403/dp/B000F4CUKY still out now but your talking $200 plus another for apple with app http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/livescribe-equiljot-galaxy-note-rise-digital-smart-pens/story?id=20941375

Look at them Apple lovers rejoice with Apple patenting this and praying that it will become a reality one day, but yet always call the S-pen a gimmicky feature that no one uses. iMorons=iHypocrites.

And next thing we will see is another law suit over a pen.

What's ridiculous is that when Apple copies, people will say it's innovation; and when others copy or maybe took a little inspiration from this fruit company, they will go crazy and say it's blantant copy cheap Chinese crap. Apple ponies, as expected.

"This is an accessory that could come in handy in a classroom setting. If a teacher were to use the stylus on a whiteboard in a classroom, an accurate reproduction of the notes could be transmitted to students' tablets." Author knows zero about teaching. Memory is enhanced the more senses you use. If something is written on the board and then said by teacher and then student writes it into notebook and then reads what they write as they write it, that's 4 inputs. This stylus would eliminate the last 2.

Just like with Apple 5D Technology & Hologram Display patents. Patent first, sue later.
